Excellent story! It's nice to see Jim in an angst-free relationship for once. It seems like everybody who has feelings for Pam (Roy, Jim, Toby) just ends up getting hurt in the end because she doesn't know what SHE wants, and really how can you deal with that?
I'm looking forward to more Jim/Karen (Jaren? Kim? Karem?) fics (Keep pressuring, Pixel!) just to have something where Pam is angsting for once.
Author's Response: Regarding Pam? Exactly! She's still stuck in neutral. Creed is the only one who has shown interest and hasn't gotten hurt! I can deal with more Pam angst but I'm ultimately pulling for Jam. I'm not sure how much Karen I can actually take!

Damn. This was so sad to me, only because I actually believed it. This was an excellent piece, especially for something you put together so quickly, wow! I don't want the show to end this way. But you made me see how it could. And I hate Pam, I hate her like this, but this could be her. Nice job! You really stepped up to the challenge.
Author's Response: I really don't think it will end up this way, but it was a nice detour into AU and yes, I can see Pam getting trapped in the present. She's made a few big moves but does she have the balls to do more? We'll see!

Wow, I'm surprised I liked it so much! I like how Karen was a take-charge person, and frankly, in some circumstances, i could see how Jim would get fed up with Pam.

I really like this. (Although for the record, I kind of hope that is not what happens on the show.) Jim has been so miserable for so long in an unrequited love; it is just lovely to see him happy and in love. I don't have much of an impression of Karen on the show either way, but this is lovely. :)
Author's Response: I'm with you Morning Angel! I definitely do NOT want to see it go down like this but it was interesting to explore. And satisfying to portray Pam as so indecisive.

Wow that was speedy!
I really loved the way you conceived of Pam's lackluster attempts to contact Jim. If she doesn't really grow up after leaving Roy, then I can see her trying this--trying to make initial contact hoping that Jim will actually take the lead again.
And I agree with the others--would love to see a bit more detail on the start of this relationship. I think a longer series on the "training sessions" could be really fun :)
Author's Response: Hmmm. Did you notice how vague it was?! It's a little too soon for me to have him all hot and heavy with Karen. But every week Pam does nothing I suspect it will get easier and easier...

Author's Response: Thanks! Obviously Pam has made some moves but because we haven't actually seen them, it still feels like she's going nowhere. Or possibly it's because she still hasn't made moves toward JIM! And I hope you're still going to give this a try! I just wanted to see for myself if I could let Jam go for a moment. Believe me, it hurt!
