Are you out there, BAx? Happy New Year!  Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that I just re-read this, and it hit me right in the grief bone once again.  Awesome.

Author's Response: Sorry I missed your kind review, NanReg. I've been away from this site for a while...I suck, I know. Thanks for reviewing and I'm so pleased you like this little story. It's a favourite of mine. BA x

:( poor season 2 Jim. You captured the angst beautifully. It's easy to forget given how happy Jim and Pam are now, but yeah... my heart broke for him here.

Author's Response: Hey, moonmouse! Thanks ever so much for reviewing - am so pleased you enjoyed this little fic. I agree, S2 Jim is heartbreaking :(

Hi dear.  Lovely job with this story.  See, I'll never ever forget the desperation in Jim during those awful final weeks of S2.  I will never complain that he's too smitten for Pam now, or that they're boring now that they're together.  Those two kids went through too much pain and deserve every second of happy bliss now.  And I'll gladly take any moments they want to share with us.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing, EverybodyHurts! I gotta say, desperate, broken Jim is so much fun to write for...but it does take it outta a girl. When I finished this story, I watched 'Money' just to raise my spirits again! rnrnThanks again, BA.

I loved the song and this story. What a great look into S2 Jim's thoughts and heart. Very, very well done.

Author's Response: Hi there, kaystar! Thanks for reviewing and for your kind words. The Saybia song definitely inspired this little story...it's just so heartfelt...sigh.

This hit me in the grief bone and I'm going to pick out the same paragraph as Ms. Hoo, because it is that good:

I know you, Pam…I know that the smile you’re wearing will last you the day. But please don’t forget that I gave you that smile. I own it. Don’t share it with him. Don’t do that to me…please.

At that point, Jim had to be content with such little things. This made me ache for S2 Jim all over again, and I'm glad to know how it all turned out.

Author's Response: Thanks, jazzfan! I'm chuffed you liked it. I do so love S2 Jim.

Ooh, angsty and delicious.  Nicely done, BA.

Author's Response: Hi there, lisahoo! Thank you so much for your review. BTW, "angsty and delicious" is just how I like my Jim...yummy! BA

NanReg, thanks so much for your lovely review. Writing it took me back to the dark and wonderful days of season 2 - phew, there's some angst right there. I love me some heartbroken Jim, I do, but these happier times are better for my heart. Thanks again! So pleased you liked it. :)

BAx, this is absolutely gorgeous.  I could feel Jim's hurt and hopelessness.  I know you, Pam…I know that the smile you’re wearing will last you the day. But please don’t forget that I gave you that smile. I own it. Don’t share it with him. Don’t do that to me…please.  Whew.  Such pain.  Really happy we're in happier times these days.

Author's Response: NanReg, look what I did!!! I reviewed my own blinkin story instead of responding to your review. I didn't know you could do that. Such a dork! :)
