Such a good story. Since we didn't get to actually see Pam dealing with the aftermath of cancelling the wedding I really didn't give it a second thought. As your story points out, it took a strong Pam to go through with it.

Author's Response: Thank you :)

Nice idea! I like how you've followed Pam as she goes through the hardest thing she's ever had to do. Breaking up with the family of an ex can be so painful and you capture that here. (One minor thing, it's "altar", not "alter".)

Author's Response: Ack! *blush* Thank you :)

You really got across how difficult and sad and emabarrasing it is to call off a wedding in real life. I actually once started a fic with Pam in the midst of all those emotionally and physically draining logistics, but I couldn't figure out anywhere to go with it...glad I let it drop, because you've done a much better job with it here!

This was very good.  To think about the enormity of calling off a wedding...Good for Pam!

A really nice look at all of the people you don't think about when a wedding is called off, like Pam's mom, who is wants what is best for her but is still disappointed, and the (not quite) sister-in-law who lost weight.

Thanks for this glimpse into Pam's current reality. We sometimes forget that this was very hard for her (you know, amidst all our "why doesn't she just call Jim already?"-ing).

I really enjoyed this.  It was sad to read, and felt real, but then again it is a painful situation.  It is amazing Pam had the guts to call it off when we know how passive she can be.  Anyway, I liked this little slice of life, and how it ends with the possibility of something better in her future!

I really liked it.  A good insight on what Pam might have really gone through in June.

Good reality here. I like the detail about her sister-in-law losing weight for a bridesmaid's dress she'll never wear.

I liked this, Willow.  It's true:  it's so easy in the movies.  In a way I'm glad we didn't see the aftermath that happened over the summer, since as you've written it was surely filled with tears and pain and sadness.  Roy's sister losing the fifteen pounds was an especially good detail.

Let's hope she can "kiss the man who should be her husband right before the credits roll", I hope you can continue this.

Author's Response: I think this will be the only chapter of this, but I hope she gets to kiss him too!

Wow. This is painfully realistic. I have a friend who cancelled her wedding a month before the date and this is pretty much exactly what she went through.

You've got some wonky font going on in the second paragraph, but the content itself? Really amazing.

Author's Response:

Yeah, I do'nt know what happened to the font and I can't seem to change it now.

Thank you :)
