I think the only word that came to mind while I read this was “beautiful.” You words were so carefully crafted to make this story utterly and heartbreakingly eloquent. Such a beautiful job.

I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but when Jim get's his breathing tube, out and just says "hi" I immediately thought of drug testing. Especially with Pam's "hey". This story is incredible, my favorite on the site!

Ohmygod!!! Your writing is so powerful. It elicited goosebumps, sighs and this hard to describe heaviness that spreads from my chest into my stomach especially when I read the part about the dinner being his way of saying goodbye. That produced tears too! Everything about this story is so moving. What more can I say. Thank you does not seem like enough.

This story is so heartbreaking, but I love it. Jim is a wonderfully devoted family man, and it's so lovely how Pam and Cece are uppermost in his mind. Pam's reluctance to face the worst possible scenario while Jim insists on it is such a great image of their love. I adored when Jim said "I asked Pete to take care of everything." Even though his brother can be a real tool, I like that Jim has family he can count on when the going gets rough. I look so forward to seeing what happens next. Please update soon.

I have been such a fan of yours from the very beginning and felt compelled to finally register as a member so that I could finally let you know that I really appreciate your work. I always feel soooo excited every time I see you've posted something. This current one has me totally enthralled. Love the angle you chose to give it by having varying points of view. Your characters are so true to sitcom life. Cannot wait to see where you are taking us with this. I must admit though that I am somewhat relieved that the tumor was benign although our boy is not out of the woods yet. Thank you for doing such an awesome job in entertaining us.

Yes, definitely continue. I love stories like this, where it's Pam looking after Jim. And God, she's pregnant. Yes, definitely contine, or I'll... I'll come get yoooou!

I love stories where Jim and Pam take care of each other, but I have to admit that I'm not normally good with such tragic issues...especially if the person dies. It's very well written, though, so maybe that will counteract my I-can't-even-have-jim-or-pam-die-in-fic fears. :) I look forward to continuing it and seeing where it goes.

Yes, you absolutely need to continue! Please don't be hesitant about this. I've received so much advice with my writing, and the one piece that fits here is- as long as it's believable and you're happy with it, that's what matters. I think having this on first person is a great way for you to not be overly melodramatic. It'll seem logical given Pam is telling the story, any time she breaks, it'll be natural because we know what she's thinking. Anyway, I hope that you do continue this. Your writing is practically flawless and so in character. So I hope all of my ramblings helped convince you to go with this and I look forward to following this.
