Just read this and your first chap, Dani. Normally I'm a little squeamish about this type of story where Jim or Pam is seriously injured. Despite that, I really wanted to give this a go. I like it, especially the involvement of Pam's family. One of my favorite things is reading about what others observe or have to say about Jim and Pam's relationship and how it appears to them. I'm glad Pam's dad is in the dark here, because I'll look forward to hearing what her mom has to say.

you perfectly captured the feeling of when someone you love is in the ICU. my sister's been in critical condition several times, and it's really hard every time.
Author's Response: With this story, I've been researching medical information about traumatic brain injury, what's like to be in a coma, and even asking my brother what was it like the aftermath of his head injury accident (two years ago) in his point of view to help me to understand. I only saw what it was like: the side effects of the head injury and the slow process of healing. My brother is doing very well, he's going to be a senior in high school and is going off to college next year.
