I don't know how you manage to do it, but this just keeps on getting cuter and cuter. The way Cece's attention is all over the place is brilliant. I could keep on listing things I love about this series, but I'd be here forever. Thanks so much for this.

Author's Response: HH, you are too kind! I can happy to provide the amusement - people like you are what keep me writing things like this. so thank YOU!

Oh my goodness, this is fantastic, I loved everything about this chapter. Cece is adorable, I'm glad that mom and the new baby are okay, and it's so natural for her to suddenly be nervous about meeting the new baby. I love how Jim and Cece apparently have this ritual where they go to that diner and OMG chicken fingers are chicken's fingers cracked me up! I love how she insisted on the Minnie Mouse balloon, so sure that that's what her new sister wants. Loved this so much I read this chapter twice too! It's unprecedented lol Great work and congrats on your blue ribbon, VERY well deserved!

Author's Response: Deedldee, thank you! I wasn't sure people would catch chicken's finger! So happy it merits a twice-read. thanks for all your support! :)

This is so sweet and funny, without being cutesy (a fanfic pet peeve of mine.) I can hear Cece speaking in your dialogue - and even better - she actually sounds like Jim and Pam's daughter. (Just ignore...ha!) Totally fun!

Author's Response: Colette, so nice to hear from you, since I loooove all your sweet stories! Glad it's not too cutesy for you and that she sounds authentic - what a compliment!

This is so cute! I snorted out loud when I got to Merv's ride on the rubber duck so he could have a bath with Cece. I'm glad I wasn't drinking at the time!

Author's Response: Vampiric Blood, so nice to hear from you! I am glad you're enjoying. The rubber ducks thing I pulled straight from my own 4-year-old self...I'm glad it worked!

I just wanted to let you knowI have had to read this again, because it was so deliciously cute. You really do havethe four year old down!!!

17 is old...oh, I love when kids think anyone over 12 is OLD. The way they think is jus so innocent and cute, and you really have captured how I imagine Cece to be :)

Moreeee please

Author's Response: Awww, HH! You're toooo sweet! I am SO happy you like this and I will try to update asap!

I love this story SO much! You have chosen such a cute POV and executed so flawlessly. I love how the story is so cute and funny but there are little hints of confusion and fear in there as well...which is EXACTLY how a four-year-old would feel in this situation. I can't wait to read more!!

Author's Response: aww thanks TunaEveryNight! I've always sort of imagined Cece as this precocious little girl who wouldn't be fazed when her parents left but then of course, she's still four. Glad you like it!

I am in love with this story. You are doing a fabulous job of getting in CeCe's head, and the small child POV is so refreshing. Please continue - can't wait 'til she meets the new baby. Favorite line so far:
Then I show Anna my goldfish Merv and tell her how sometimes I feed him real goldfish that I eat for snacks instead of his flakes.

This is so what a kid that age would do. Adorable!!!

Author's Response: Thanks, Jazzfan! It's hard to write from a child's POV but I'm glad it's working for ya.

This is just the cutest story. I love hearing a story through Cece eyes. Her being with gramma waiting for her sister is perfect. YES for more!!

Author's Response: thank you kh! i'll attempt to keep the cute coming.

Kaat, this is incredibly sweet and I do hope you continue with it. There are so many little moments that not only are spot on for the characters but actually remind me a little of my childhood as well. Fantastic job! :)

Author's Response: Why thank you, spaceorphan! update is coming!

Very much Yay. Cece is so cute and the way you have written her is exactly how I imagine she'd be. It's so cute seeing something like this from her POV.

Oh my goodness!  This was so sweet I want to lick it :D  I love all the silly and happy and cute and delicious.  May I have another scoop, please?

Author's Response: Comparing my story to ice cream - now THAT is the highest compliment! Digging some more stuff out of my freezer as we speak. :)

Well, I love Cece's recount of the Halpert's bedtime ritual, it's just the sweetest thing! And I'm not sure why, but imagining Jim crying the most when Cece was born made me love him even more lol This is so precious, and you've really got down pat what a four year old sounds like when they talk. This is so adorable I read it twice! My favorite snippet is when Cece says 'Anna is 17, that's old.' How true of a four year old to think that way! Hope there's more on the way soon!

Author's Response: aww Deedldee, thank you! I am so honored you've read this twice. :) I totally love the Jim crying the most thing too. More's coming!

i'm really loving this. it really reminds me of the junie b. jones books, the way it's written in "kid form".

“Is it totally totally 100% completely truly real?”

“I'll try my best. Do you ask Daddy those questions every time?”

“Yes I do. I need to know what's happening.”

that made me lol!

Author's Response: hahaha JUNIE B! I loooooved those books, so what a compliment, Flonkertonchamp!

Loving all the little details. The hiding place under their bed was somehow so vivid. The puppy, how sad! But she's fine because now there's Merv! And "real story or pretend story"-- I love that and can totally see that being Jim's ritual with her.

So cute! Keep it coming, I love it. :)

Author's Response: Thanks, callisto! it's been great to tap into my own childhood - I used to do half the things that Cece did. I'll try not to disappoint. :)

I almost can't take how CUTE this is! The end broke my heart a little, poor Cece crying as she stands in her mommy's shoes! The way you've written this like it's from a four year old's point of view is just the sweetest thing ever. Love it! Hope Pam is okay. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Author's Response: Deedldee - always great to see your name in the reviews. I'll try to project some more cute your way in the next couple of days. :)

Very sweet, kaat.  "Lazybug" (and the inventory of what's on the floor) cracked me up.  By all means, continue!

Author's Response: NanReg, thanks for the go-ahead. I would not think of continuing without your permission! :)

This is adorable. And I'm not really one who gushes over children. :) The breathless kind of run-on sentences sound just like an excited kid! "Not Safe," I love how that's in caps so you know it's been Really Emphasized by Mommy and Daddy. Let's hope nothing's wrong with Pam-- just going into labor a little early?

Author's Response: callisto! always love to see a review from you. That little kid voice isn't always the easiest to write but I'm so glad you're enjoying!
