Welcome to MTT. It’s a great community here and it’s nice to have you here.

Now I usually like my angst with a happy ending but you did a great job with everything Pam would be feeling this first holiday without Jim around especially in light of everything.

I can appreciate all the bits you fit back to the lyrics. I get that feeling when you hear a song that just so makes you think of them and this one did seem so right.

How his presence is missing from office and events even though they were never a couple, the way she saved all the teapot and other memories in a box and thoughts on how he might be helping at his new office are all nice touches that add to the impact of this story.

Nice work, thanks for sharing and happy holidays.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I like happy endings as well but I'm glad this worked out. Happy holidays:)

JG! Finishing 2020 strong!

I'm very intrigued by the idea of what happens to them if Jim isn't deus ex machina'd back to Scranton, and I'm glad you chose to explore what Pam's Christmas would be like with Jim still three states away. You struck a very properly melancholy tone here - the idea of Pam trying to slot Jim into her family Christmas feels very real.

Along with melancholy and regret I like how you've really embraced how at odds and ends Pam is here - her old routines are broken, she hasn't really formed new ones, and this central figure in her life is gone, and she still hasn't adjusted to it, in no small part because she's still seeing him everywhere.

Wow, and we thought canon Phyllis' Wedding was depressing. I guess it's not Pam backsliding with Roy, but this is a really sad mental picture you've painted.

The detail of Jim volunteering to hang the decorations so Pam won't have to is very them.

Congrats on your first story! Happy to hear we can expect more from you soon!

Author's Response: Thank you Darjeeling! I've always wanted to explore Pam's thoughts after the merger/after losing Jim. Hope I'll have time to upload again soon :)

As far as angst goes, yeah that hits home. Heartbreaking to get into Pam's mind like this. How she want's to be with the one guy who isn't there anymore. Welcome to writing at MTT.

Author's Response: Thank you! May have taken some ideas from personal experience...
