Hi, resident Disney-obsessed reader here.

OUCH, this one hurt. I love the imagery of fairytales here with Jim (even if the last line felt like a punch in the gut). Fortunately for us, we know it's true love's kiss and she wakes up, but poor Jim.

Author's Response: Thank you (and sorry for the punch)! I like fairytales very much and I think I keep looking in that direction for other stories as well...

Really gets into what Jim was hoping for and why his heart shattered when it didn't. If only he could have waited just a bit longer.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm still frustrated with Jim being that impatient (though perfectly understand his feelings too...)

"Deeply inside he still believed in fairy tales" is a very good description of Season 2 Jim in his hopeful mode. And I like the Sleeping Beauty idea here, where his kiss DOES wake her up... it just takes a while to do it.

You know, I know that the original versions of those fairy tales are all not kid-friendly, but I had not heard that version of Sleeping Beauty. Ummm. Yikes.

Author's Response:

Thank you! I'm glad it works! I'm fond of fairy-tales, myths, and legends, so, I guess, folklore references will appear often in my stories.
P.S. That version of Sleeping Beauty is 17th century Italian fairy-tale called 'Sun, Moon, and Talia,' and contained even more gruesome details...
