She lipped thank you!! This seems like a major breakthrough for Pam!! Jim is just the sweetest little kid! And he’s so observant… his big smile when she mouths thank you… what a great kid Gerald and Betsy are raising!! Despite the fact that Pam was too nervous to eat the yogurt, it’s okay— she’ll do it one day— because Jim will keep bringing it! I can totally see them off in a little corner of the school cafeteria with your words— just the sweetest picture! Thank you for this sweet story!

Author's Response: Thank you so much, so glad you enjoy it!

I am super loving this story! In particular the description of her internal struggles is very interesting, and her progression coming in little tiny waves feels natural - as someone who has a fair amount of experience in this area Pam's inner turmoil flows quite naturally, which is great. I love that Jim put some thought into what he could bring Pam down to the mechanism of eating. I look forward to reading more!

She's getting there!! I love how happy it made Jim that she could mouth the words. And how cute he is to constantly bring her the yoghurt!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Small progress!

The fact she can at least form the words if not the sounds feels like big progress in a little package. Still lots of internal tumult going on for sure, but it also feels that off in the distance she can see the beacon of a lighthouse where once there were only crashing waves and wind. A faint glimmer of hope and safe harbor where once there was only darkness. And slowly the rudder of her life is starting to ease it's way over to set course for that still far off but always steady light.

Author's Response: Ok wow that was a beautiful metaphor, my goodness!

Never stop writing this sweet story b29;a039;
I adore how much you are capturing, we feel the internal struggle Pam has, and appreciate so much the person (in this case Jim) who cares enough to pay attention and bring communication out of her.

Author's Response: Aw thank you so much! Your so sweet!
