Awww. I'm so, so sad to see this one go...but so thankful that you wrote it in the first place. Thank you for this sweet, lovely adorable little world you created.

i love this... perfect banter between the two of them without overdoing it (because come on... you can't really joke around during contractions.) and the sweet michael moments, like when he held her hand during the contraction, and at the very end, talking to jim. perfect little moments of michael sweetness, but again, without overdoing it.

Ahhh! Yay I'm so glad you updated, I'm a big fan of this fic. Loved this chapter, it's so real and true to the show :)
Also I'd like you to know I love how long your chapters are...the longer the better in my opinion, haha.
Author's Response: Wow, thanks for the compliment on chapter length! As a reader I like to sink my teeth into something a bit longer too.....um -- twss? -- so bad.

Another awesome chapter. The whole parenting of Michael gets stickier now that Jim and Pam are parents, and it's so entertaining to read your take on it. This made me laugh out loud: "And if I can't shower with Pam, then I don't want to shower at all," Michael finished throwing up his hands."
I also loved that you didn't label that one talking head about the quilt as Creed, but I knew it was Creed anyway. And the ending was so perfectly in character.
Author's Response: hahaha, you pulled out my favorite Michael line, I must say.lol. I think I wrote that section first and it set the tone for everything! lol. Glad you were able to tell what was Creed too! Thanks for being such an awesome reader and reviewer, Jazz.

Oh my, I realised I hadn't reviewed this story even though it's one of my absolute favourites. But since it's Halpert baby/wedding central at the moment, I had this sudden urge to re-read. And goodness me, it hasn't lessened in awesomeness.
It suddenly occurred to me that the way I always imagined this family is based purely on your depiction, it's so perfect. This family is so cute together and I really hope we get some scenes like these in the future. My fav chapters have to be the letters though, they're so adorable. Just like Jill. Such a cutie.
You are the Queen of Babyfic and you write Pam and Jim as the Mommy and Daddy they should be. And the thought of that makes me all warm and fuzzy. There I said it. I feel much better now.
Any plans for another update? :)
Author's Response: Aw, thanks for taking the time to review MilkandSugar. I'm so glad I could paint a realistic picture of the Halpert fam, for you! They defninitely make me all warm and fuzzy too!

I love this story... It's exactly how I picture Jim being as a dad - funny and loving and even frustrated sometimes too - just like a real parent. Keep adding more chapters! Thanks

What a beautiful story. It was sometimes funny, and sometimes so tender that I almost wanted to cry. You have created the perfect one-syllable-named family, and have described their triumphs and hardships beautifully. I would love to read more soon.

I have something either very weird/sad to admit or something that will tickle you as much as it did me. Since this fic started I have given birth to my own little 'bean'.
And my precious sunshine of my life daughter in the six weeks she has lived outside the womb has spent some quality time screaming her little head off. My husband and I think she should be an opera singer with that lung power. Anyway the other night she was in a mood and my husband and I just looked at eachother and started laughing, full on cracking up. So I said to Daddy after the three of us had calmed down a similar experince happened to a friend of mine, but I couldn't remember hich friend. Then this morning I remembered it was my friend Jim in letter to his wife Pam. What I think I'm trying to say is even though they were fictional it was comforting to think of being in the foxhole with some really good friends.
And I so want my daughter to like Jill stealing and all...
Thanks for that moment of comfort....

Alright, now I'm done but seriously "Daycare" was hysterical. I was cracking up. The next time I want something that belongs to someone else I'm just gonna try to look really innocent, say "whoa whoas?" and then run. Run like I'm afraid of monkies. Great Stuff!

I've been bouncing around this site all weekend and this is the story that made me register. BRILLIANT! This chapter (the one with Jim's journals entries) is the best thing ever. It is obvious that though I am years from having a baby myself, I will have to write he or she a journal. Kudos!

So I was sitting at my computer, bored. Nothing new. So I was thinking about looking for a good fic, you know, an old, possibly AU, multi chapter fic. Then I remembered Baby Jill! I just read the entire thing again, and wow...
I'm hoping for an update soon!

I know I've reviewed practically every chapter of this, but I was rereading it.. and can I just say, with the Fun Run banner of Jim and Pam holding hands placed right over your story, it's just THAT much more exciting and heartwarming?

Just finished reading this entire series again, and it's been a few months since I last read them. I'd just like to say how incredibly happy I feel after reading your stories, they really are amazingly well done. Seriously made my day go by way faster, and now I have a big smile on my face as well.

What great dialog! This is the first story I've read here that had me laughing out loud over and over. I lovethe game of Would You Rather and that Jim threatens to name the baby Schrute!
Just great. Thanks for writing this.

I'm not sure if I have ever commented on this story but I wanted to tell you how much I love it. It's one of the sweetest things I've ever read.

How did I not tell you how much I adored this chapter??
Well. I'm telling you now. :)
Love pranking Jill - and the way you have the two of them both being so turned on by the prospect of a prank is exactly why Jim and Pam being together for realsies will work beautifully.
Never, ever finish this story. EVER. :)

Just found this website and wanted to let you know your story is great. I love each and every update!!!!

I am just amazed by how effectively you capture Jim's sweetness without losing his sarcastic and snarky side. You are SO GOOD at creating Pam and Jim's voices. It makes what you write so much more than just well-written fluff - it makes it feel true to the show.
Author's Response: Oh man thank you. Jim Halpert is a man of many layers! Happy just to tap into a few during these little snippets of his life. Thanks so much for reading!

In no way would I object to you continuing this fic... forever. Seriously. After this last chapter, I (as well as others, I presume) will simply not allow you to stop. Writing to Jill is such a great idea, I would love to see more of it, maybe when Jill starts dating. :P
Author's Response: haha. Well since Jim will continue this journal for many years to come I'm guessing that that can be arranged if I continue writing this story. Thanks so much for wanting it to continue! That's so awesome to hear those words of encouragement. I'll see what I can do! ;-)

I love this series more every time you post a new entry!! May I humbly request a wedding fic for the pre-baby series of stories? You're so good at these (deliberate kiss-up) :)
Author's Response: Aw, thank you! Just so you know there are pre-baby chapters of this story. All of my stories kind of fall under the same AU universe (except for Party Fouls) everything else is the same Jim and Pam, same story. So if it's not part of Baby Talk, it's PRE-babytalk. I haven't tackled their wedding yet though. For some reason that's been particularly challenging for me to write. But at some point I'm gonna give it a try I think. Hope you enjoy the rest!

Jim and Pam and childbirth! This was so believable and good! All the characters remained themselves and it was funny while being touching.
Nice work!
