You're right, this is different from the other chapters, but I love the consistency of the characterizations (as in, no matter what's happening, they are CLEARLY still Jim and Pam), and the fluff with a shot of reality (as someone said on the TWoP boards). Another great chapter!

Awww, what an emotional chapter! I'm glad you expanded the incident into a whole chapter of its own. The letter from Jim gave a really sharp image of what it must have felt like, but this in-depth POV from both his side and Pam's really worked to help us understand the huge impact this had on them.

I was just recommended this story today and I'm sorry I missed it all along. You really, truly capture the characters perfectly. I feel like I am reading Jim and Pam and their experiences with their first baby. Its totally them in your story, which is amazing and wonderful. And I think you did a fantastic job balancing their relationship with what it would be like to have a newborn baby as a first time parent. Fantastic job.

Just having them referred to that way, so incidentally, actually gave me a little thrill. How far gone am I, LOL? And also, loved when Jim comes into the bedroom and Pam's nursing Jill - such a sweet intimate moment. Really felt like they're a family. Lovely.

Another excellent chapter. I don't think I've reviewed this story yet, so let me just take the time to gush about how awesome it is. i uually don't read Jam baby-fics b/c they're often overly cutesy, but this is just the right amount of adorable without it being too much, b/c there's so much more mixed in- humor, real worries/challenges involved in being a parent, great characterizations for everyone, all of it is just amazing. Can't wait to read more!

When I was a teenager, someone tried to break into the house I was babysitting at. You captured Pam really well, I thought. Her train of thought regarding Jill not waking up, putting her in the closet, etc... was very right on. Good chapter.

You have this really wonderful knack for capturing the mundane. Wait. That sounds weird - but it's really what I feel. Maybe I'm not expressing myself well.
Of course Pam wanted Jim and OF COURSE she couldn't call him because she'd lose it. The way she acted with Jill - wanting her to have what she wanted even though through it all the baby was probably oblivious - rang so very true.
And Jim - feeling overly guilty and like a total ass for going out just one night? So realistic and so well done.
And Dwight? Oh Dwight.
I'd like to request that you never, ever stop updating this story. I know you might have other things to do with your life - but it would make me very sad to see it end. :(

I think this was perfect. I think the language was perfectly warranted if thats what you were worried about. I was so scared with Pam I just needed Jim to come home. I'm pretty sure my own face lit up when he came through the door...

When I saw what this chapter was about, I squealed like a 8-year-old girl. This was an awesome chapter. Before, in my other review, I MEANT to say that this is one of the best stories on this site. Wow. First off, I loved how you were able to deflect the drama with humor. . .from Dwight of all people. I could really see him doing that.
I also loved how tender Jim and Pam were with each other. This chapter was perfect. I love this story, and it's very well written.

Awww I'm glad that you told that story...not everything can be super fluffy and this was really well written and you could just see how much Jim and Pam love each other and their little family. I'm glad everything worked out in the end for them :o)

Wow, I love this story. :) Although, throughout the whole chapter I kept waiting for it to be revealed that it was Roy for some reason, not sure why.
