This is really cool- seeing things from Karen's perspective helps show how she could have not known about Jim and Pam... and the suspense is fun too!
I like the idea of Karen and Pam being friends- I don't like Karen with Jim, but Pam needs a female work friend too and Karen's the best candidate.

I love this. I love that Karen is feeling a loyalty to Pam. I really believe that Karen isn't naive and that once she has a chance to get settled and the shine of a new relationship dims a bit she'll have a clue what's going on. And I think your scenario is so realistic. That she'd originally misinterpret what was going on. Just fantastic. Good to have you back Midge!!

It was great to read about the triangle from Karen's angle. Since no one's bothered to tell her anything, it's only natural that she would see the situation as you described it. It's funny the way Karen sees herself as saving Pam!

u r very good at capturing the things that might be going on in karens mind. i rarley review, and for me to review a story, it means its really good, atleast by my standards. it took me by surprise how funny it is. i got some funny looks from my mom when i laughed out loud a couple of times, and i found myself arguing with karens thoughts, which is weird, i know :D anyway, its really good, keep it up!
