"Where do you see yourself in ten years?"
There's a picture of Pam next to the computer screen and several more smiles to look at in other frames. A little league baseball card is taped to the monitor and a collection of scribbles are taped to the desk. He picks up the phone to call her, because five o'clock is still too far away.
He looks at David Wallace and without thinking he says, "Scranton."
The C.F.O. looks at him like he's speaking another language, "I'm sorry?" he laughs, thinking this is just more of Jim's humor.
He's still a little shocked that he's saying this, but it comes out on its own. "Thank you David for this opportunity, but I belong in Scranton. Its home."
"Are you sure?"
He's never been more sure of anything in his life.
