There were good times, too, though. Like when they'd tried to make Roy's grandma's cookies. They'd accidentally added too much salt and had needed to triple the recipe. They'd laughed a lot that night and brought cookies to everyone at work the next day.

Roy could be really sweet sometimes. Which only made it harder when he wasn't. Pam often thought of Roy as two different people; she just wanted to know which one would wake up beside her in the morning.

As for Jim, he was dating someone. Pam was trying really hard not to let it bother her.
