Author's Chapter Notes:
I bumped the rating up for some mild language in this and the next chapter. I thought I'd note that here just in case someone's super sensitive about that.

 

By October, the good times were mostly a memory. For the first time in her life, Pam was actually excited to go to work, but only because it was the one place she could escape from the constant bickering.

"You just don't get it, do you? I mean, has it ever occurred to you to think about what I want?" she knew her voice sounded shrill, but she was past caring.

"Oh, come on, Pam! Don't start this. I am so sick of you and your damn speech."

"What speech?"
