You definitely did not step on any toes with your latest story!  I personally don't think you can do such a thing in fanfic - there are so many different ways to make even an identical plot line unique.  And in my story, the kisses were only one part of it - it wasn't the whole story!  Again, great job on that - you have quite a future in fluff!
