Very clever and fun - especially liked Creed's perspective (love his reference to 'the young salesman with the hair.')
Author's Response:
Thank you! Writing from Creed's perspective flowed easily out of my head (oh, that's scary thought!)

Lord.
I thought I'd just read the first couple of chapters and finish it later...but couldn't stop until the end. Not only steamy, but the dialogue is really well done, and that's not easy to pull off with these characters. Really great read.
Author's Response: Listen, I am so impressed with your stuff that I take this as an enormous, enormous compliment - thank you so much!

Thanks for such a speedy and wonderful new installment - I love instant gratification (maybe why all my stories take place AFTER Pam has come to her senses!)
Especially liked Jim's part - so poignant, funny in the right places - really sounds like I imagine his inner voice would. Please keep going!
(Re: your response to my previous review - so great to hear that from someone whose stories I've admired so much. Inspires me to maybe give a third one a go. I may have to stop working all together at this rate!)
Author's Response: OK twist my arm - I'll keep going.
(PS: If you don't write a third (or fourth or fifth one) I'm going to stalk you until you do. Wow. Did not mean that to be creepy. But I'd really like you to write more. LOL!)
PPS: Work is underrated. ;)
Date: July 26, 2006 Title: Chapter 1: Spring
Clever way to pull-off a non-wedding...definitely leaves me wanting more (nothng makes me greedier than a good story.)
Author's Response: I\'ll try and feed your greed as fast as I can. I need to say again I LOVE your stuff. Like - so much I want to marry it. LOL! Thanks for reading.
Date: August 02, 2006 Title: Chapter 8: Winter
Perfect. So true to the characters...they really should let you write the actual show. I'm not kidding.
Author's Response: Do you think they'd let me have an all JAM special??? 'Cause in that case I'm totally in. LOL!
Thanks for the amazing compliments but I'm just playing around. I can't even begin to match wits with those writers.
Truly.
Date: July 29, 2006 Title: Chapter 4: Thanksgiving
Lovely...seriously. You're doing such a great job of maintaining a bittersweet tone. Also of making small details so evocative.
It's about 95 degrees here today - and I'm really looking forward to Christmas.
Author's Response: Thank you...seriously. I'm hopeful that I've been able to strike a balance that feels real and not over the top angsty.
It's hot here too. I'm wishing for snow. ;)
Date: August 02, 2006 Title: Chapter 7: Valentine's Day
Great ending to this chapter - really liking the story. Very absorbing.
By the way - great minds must think alike - check out my story from a while ago (Winter's Eve)-suffice to say she REALLY likes dark chocolate in that one!
Author's Response: Um. I remember all too well how much Pam (and Jim) enjoyed dark chocolate in your story. I had Jim buy her chocolate in another story too...Moments I think.
And then? Also dark. :)
Is there any other kind???

You did a great job of capturing the whole gamut of characters...and I only hope that reading this toughens me up for what I think we can expect next season. Melissa must be stopped.
Author's Response: I agree. Thank you for the feedback ; )

Very sweet scene - and nice to see someone appreciating Jim in the manner to which he ought to be accustomed..looking forward to seeing how this unfolds. (BTW, so far the 'smut' factor seems pretty mild, so no need to worry....though smut never worries me at all!)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Yes, that's what I was going for: someone who was the antithesis of Pam just in the sense that she really does appreciate him and tells him so. That's the only way I could realistically see him getting involved with someone else so soon. And yes, the smut factor is very low on this one so far.
Date: August 04, 2006 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1
Yikes...glad to see I'm not the only one who went over to the dark side this week! (But maybe this chapter should have an 'MA' rating too - and I only mean that in the nicest way.)
BTW - I wrote a whole passage in my latest chapter (soon to be posted) that talks about Jim making Pam a morning-after omelet - and other omelet related activities...now after seeing your story I'm going to have to go back and change it. Rats. Loved your story all the same!
Author's Response: No, don't change it! Keep it in! I can't wait to read your latest -- and thanks for the feedback!
Date: August 02, 2006 Title: Chapter 7: Chapter 7
This is seriously good - with a mini cliffhanger in every chapter. Please keep it coming!
This is essentially my take on the "unseen" challenge. I've written a couple of these, and I originally thought I'd do one for every episode, but I'm thinking that's too ambitious for me -- especially when someone else has already done it so perfectly. But for what it's worth....

Got half way through this before I realized I'd read it before - just as captivating the second time!
Love your description of P's reaction when J ran by her on the court ('She absently caught herself tilting...') I always thought she looked almost drunk on him in that shot. Can't blame her.
Author's Response: "Drunk on him" -- wow, YES. Exactly. And I think her expression pretty much summed up all of our thoughts: Damn. :o)
Date: September 11, 2006 Title: Chapter 36: Chapter 36: Gay Witch Hunt (sort of - not really)
Holy shit. (Pardon my French, but there are no English words.) Parts 33-36? Devoured in one sitting. And 'At Last' - on the living room floor? That T rating definitely went M there, and gloriously so. Yum. I seriously don't know what to say, other than you are a force of nature, pounding these stories out, one great one after another.
Author's Response: Yay! Thanks so much - I'm glad you liked it! This is what happens when I spend a day drinking wine and writing. I'm really glad you liked it, though!
Date: September 07, 2006 Title: Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Casino Night - part II
Would asking for Casino Night Parts 3, 4, 5...be too tall an order? So riveting - a great emotional ride. Bravo to the whole series.
Date: September 05, 2006 Title: Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Conflict Resolution
Wow. It's 8:30 am, and after reading this, I think I need a drink too.
Seriously, this was really effective - you so captured the impending sense of doom and devastation Jim could feel in his worst moments as the wedding approaches. Very dark, but very well done. The part where she holds him and he sleeps with his head in her lap was especially moving. So so sad.
Author's Response:
I am so glad you liked it! I know it was really dark - darker than they'd ever go on the show because it probably wouldn't even be remotely plausible - but....I don't know; I like exploring the tragic undercurrent between these two. Mainly because I believe they'll have a happy ending. And cause it's fun. :o)
Yeah, when I was writing about him sleeping with his head in her lap, I was thinking, wow, what I would not give....
Date: September 02, 2006 Title: Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Performance Review - part I
Once you end a chapter with a cliff hanger, it's incumbent upon you to update (new Fanfic Rules of Conduct, section 14A.3.1.) Seriously, please do!
And coincidentally, I'm also finishing a chapter in which Pam gets some unequivocal advice from an unlikely source - though in a v. different context - so maybe we're starting a trend...I like it!
Author's Response:
Listen sister, your wish is my command. :o)
I have GOT to go read your fic now! And I love it that we keep having these parallel ideas -- flatters me to think we may think alike!
Date: August 31, 2006 Title: Chapter 24: Chapter 24: The Injury - part II
Wow, an old favorite book I hadn't thought about in ages...works perfectly too. And I love the idea of a literate Jim...really makes sense to me. All in all, a deliciously angsty read.
Date: August 18, 2006 Title: Chapter 12: Chapter 12: "Email Surveillance: Part II"
I'm now totally convinced that you're trying to kill me. These are so addictive - please keep it up...can't go too long without another fix. Thanks!!!
Date: August 14, 2006 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1: The Pilot
Really, really liked these last two scenes. The one with Mrs. Beesly was so touching - you had Jim being so Jim, so poignant and quietly soulful.
Interesting too, because I'd often thought that a rich vein to follow (on the actual show) re: the drunk Dundies kiss, would have been the idea that people only lose their inhibitions when drunk, but don't say/do anything they don't really mean on some level.
Thanks for the great update!
Author's Response: Thanks, as always, for that great feedback! And yes - drunken people don't say things they don't really mean. (I'm looking at you, Mel Gibson. Sorry -- couldn't resist!)
Date: August 15, 2006 Title: Chapter 8: Chapter 8: "The Fight"
Stopped by here to see if there was anything to help me procrastinate from work and stumbled on this...and now I feel like I'm in a trance, so forget working...
Just exquisite. You really capture the Jimness of Jim. And I love what Pam says about how hard it is '..being us, I guess.' Please make many more of these!
Date: August 24, 2006 Title: Chapter 20: Chapter 20: The Carpet
This one was especially good (plausible or not - hell, it's all made up stories anyway!) The quiz was such a clever idea. Amazed that you can be so prolific and still produce such good stuff (as I sit here, struggling to find the time and inclination to finish one damn story that's been cooking for 2 weeks plus!)
Author's Response:
You are so sweet! And listen, it's not a good thing that I'm writing this much -- seriously. I'm procrastinating on a hundred other things that I need to do for "real" life. I'm telling myself that when I finish all the episodes, I will STOP writing the fan fic - but it's so damned much fun!
Thanks as always for the feedback - and I can't wait to read your story!
Date: August 17, 2006 Title: Chapter 9: Chapter 9: "The Christmas Party"
Wow. You are soooo good at doing their dialogue - the scene in the bar was masterfully done. I could vividly hear them and see them. Funny and touching too.
Love the conceit of having Pam see Jim through another woman's eyes too - I actually have a story started that sort of goes there as well (though in an extremely different way/context) so this was especially inspiring! More!!!

Let me be the first to say WOW. This was very...moving...and also really well written. Impressed with the way you (and our little Pam) cut right to the chase. Well done (both of you!)
Author's Response: Thanks! That means a lot, because I love your writing. =]
