Do you write for the show? Because I've spent many too many hours here reading fanfic here, god knows why, and even the most emotionally satisfying stuff- a lot of it feels like a different sort of Pam/Jim love story. It feels like someone else's names could be there, if not for all the TWSS's. And that's great. But this just felt like watching season four weeks in advance, but better, because you talked about the cameras (which I always love). Karen was sympathetic, thank god, the word 'banter' was blissfully absent, a green Toby, perfect Dwight... I could go on about all those genius moments you put in. The music, the movies. The very reasonable awkwardness and misunderstandings. Jim's tone was perfect. (Now I'm starting to get embarrassed at how profoundly I'm gushing.) But I can't overstate how wonderful the whole story is. Pitch perfect, deeply satisfying, touching work. Congratulations!

Is this a nod to California Stars? Because if it is, and you've made a subtle, effective allusion to a great song that's kind of canonish and perfect- I heart you. Forever and ever.
What's that thing Michael says, when Lazy Scranton comes on (!), about how he forgot there was an A+++? Congratulations. This story feels more right the more I think about it. There's humor! Funny humor! And they actually thought about how it might be bad to just jump into the sack. That's ruined a lot of stories.

And they should probably talk sometime, no matter how each avoids it- ah, leave it to Dwight to bring people together, that's one of my favorite devices ever. I really love this idea. I didn't, however, like some of the earlier sentences, just because they were so aware of Pam and Jim's Torrid Love (Alliance and Basketball being the worst). A minimalist reading of Pam has to address a transition into those sorts of thoughts. But the one for Hot Girl was really interesting and also my favorite. It's about her and small revelations in smaller moments. (I'm pretty pigeonholed, far as fic goes.) Looking forward to more! And congratulations on posting your first fic- I've been too cowardly to do so yet, and I hope the criticism I offered was friendly enough.
