Whew! Another awesome update!! I was so enthralled reading about Roy and Pam's various Valentines day's, and I don't think I've ever been so drawn into their relationship before. You made it realistic without being campy - it was really a fantastic juxtaposition to Jim and Pam's (hopefully!) relationship to come.
I loved this line:
"Only it wasn't for the ways he failed to understand her, rather for the ways he unfailingly did"
Just a beautiful story. I can definitely feel you building to something big (a big Valentines day climax perhaps?!) and I'm VERY excited.
Oh P.S. the dog story is too cute! How cool that it's a true story, haha I wish my boyfriend would do that for me :)

I'm glad you liked the Valentine's Day flashbacks -- I really wanted to show how their relationship has kind of slowly deteriorated over the years, so much so that Pam almost hasn't noticed. And you're absolutely right -- I fully intend to contrast Jim & Pam's eventual relationship to her past with Roy, because...can you imagine going from being with a man like Roy to a man like Jim? Whoa. :o)

Honestly, this is probably my favorite chapter of any fanfic ever. I know that sounds like hyperbole, but I swear it's not. I was just completely drawn in to this chapter by the 1st sentence and just blown away by the whole thing. You literally had me laughing, smiling, and even tearing up (I'm a sap!) throughout. Just so brilliant! I am so looking forward to the next update....in the words of Pam "this IS gonna be amazing!"

Wow, this was so perfectly done! I loved the line "probably something about dreams, and them coming true" ...just awesome.
