Well, now that was awkward! Not a fan of Wendy. (Though who can blame her for trying, really? He's a catch.)
I love Jim's fantasy of the first time Pam would say "I love you," though I'm just happy to see them saying it over the phone at all - it's sweet, without needing to be a grandiose gesture.
9 Well, if he had any doubts left that she truly loved him, I think this settles it: "You belong to me, and I'm never going to let you go. Never." Lovely. This was another great chapter!

Great chapter! I love how they're being so completely honest about everything. No declarations of love yet, which is believable, but they're not being completely awkward and hiding their feelings, which I think is so mature. I really hope they talk like this when they really do talk again on the show...
Author's Response: Thanks for your comments. I did struggle at first wondering what if the dialogue would seem real, but I decided that if they really cared about each other as we are lead to believe by the REAL writers, then I think neither of them would want to blow a new chance.

9 Aw. Lovely. Each point hits just the way it needs to - you can say so much with so few words.
An Office-based parody of The Princess Bride.He would just do what she asked and smile, and say, simply,

And each time, Pam wondered if maybe she had the wrong boyfriend.
Awww! That was the bit that convinced me I'm going to love this story.

This is getting so crazy/fun/silly, and I'm still loving how closely you're sticking to the original.
Ryan in Miracle Max's role is NOT what I would have expected, but it worked so well, with his ailment being drunkenness rather than death! Hee.
And Ryan = narrator! Now I understand that "irony = I'm madly in love with your grandmother" comment from one of the early chapters - I just thought I was completely slow and ignorant before.
8 Hee! What a fun chapter. I love Jim calling Dwight and talking him through it. I also love that it would have been the perfect moment for him to give bad advice, but much like Westley, is too "honorable" to do so :)

8 Ha! Some of the changes you made to original lines make me absolutely crack up laughing. "Did you volunteer for this win-a-date thing right away, or wait a whole five minutes to think it over?"
And I love the oh-so-simple explanation for how he took out Kevin. And Michael's attempts to guess the riddle, and the fact that he wasn't quite smart enough to think of using google himself.

Inspired by the premiere’s melancholy whiff o’Jam. Except with a happy ending, because…I felt like it. Contains a possible SPOILER – nothing you wouldn’t know unless you’ve avoided even those tiny tidbits in the mass media. Just saying, to be fair.10 Oh, so lovely! I adore how all the pieces fall together. I think it really worked, showing how they wound up happy together before showing them working it out by starting with the same simple "Okay" that reflected the start of it all. Wonderfully done!
