Dinner, and what happened later. Post-Season 3.Simply lovely! The apartment scenes have so far not disappointed at all. And I love the banter that they kept up throughout, and the moment with the stuck zipper was a very real-life sort of delay, and cute in how they dealt with it.
Haha, "I will kill you and eat your parents" is possibly the greatest threat I've ever heard. And this was a lovely chapter!

A woman meets Michael Scott.
You've somehow made me feel not only heartbroken for Michael, but for this woman I don't know at all as well - you created quite a vivid character in such a small amount of time. Michael being honest about his feeling of rejection instead of just joking around and protecting himself with false bravado feels so real and sad. And the sex scene was damn near devastating.

Heh, the thing that actually cracked me up the most was the idea that the filming/talking heads would keep up after an apocalypse. That's one determined documentary crew! :-D Assuming they DID repopulate the earth, that would probably be very valued footage for future generations.
Awesome! I've always kind of wanted to know how Pam would react to knowing that that would be her name. And I love that you kept it light, and so them, but with the obvious undertone of something deeper going on. Jim joking around while Pam expects him to say something more, because she knew.
Pam takes a trip to Target, buys a swimsuit, and gets some inspiration from an unlikely source.Lovely! A great look at Pam's character, and the potential for friendship between Pam and Karen, if it weren't for Jim(/Voldemort). She's right, he does ruin everything! ;)

Love this so far! Everyone's so in character, and this is such a fun plot premise that I'd like to see them actually do an episode like this on the show! I also love the Jim/Pam, Andy/Kelly stuff. But Andy's outfit! Yikes!

I admit, I started reading this on LJ earlier today and gave up because I was getting so lost in the pronouns, but thought maybe I hadn't been focused enough before and decided to try again when I saw it here, so I'm really glad you made the changes you did. It was much easier to follow and appreciate. This was a lovely and sad, but also kind of happy in the end, story. It made me really mad at Jim, obviously, but it's really nice to see Roy stepping up. I think he has all the potential to be this good of a guy if given the opportunity.
Oh, how awkward - I always think that's such a difficult scenario, when a couple is in love and would most likely be getting married in the not too distant future anyway, but then an unexpected pregnancy happens a little early and they don't want to make it look like they're just getting married because of that. And being forced to make that choice so early in the relationship, eep! And, yes, the break room proposal did lack class, but I appreciate Jim's earnesty and sponteneity.
Aww, I liked Ben! But obviously, I like Jim more. And I love his very forward approach to planning out their relationship!
Author's Response: i like ben too. \r\ni really think that one school of thought on jim & pam\'s relationship is that there\'s no waiting necessary. what do they need to know? they\'re compatible. they get along - even amidst hardship. so what should stop them from just getting to it? \r\nwell a roomful of writers will stop them, obviously :)
This is an idea I've had for a long time. It is inspired by the very end of the Six Feet Under series finale (hence the title), and it seems that the 55 word style would be perfect for it. Each chapter will focus on a different Office character. 20 chapters are planned.
