This was a sweet, really cute story.  Every now and then my husband and I play this game, too, so I really connected with it and could see the humor / wistfulness of it.  "Well, you were the one who ..."  "Yeah, but that was because you said..." and of course, it's always done with smiles, knowing how far you've come.  I can't wait until Jim and Pam get to this point.  :)

Author's Response: I do believe one day they will look back and say "what the hell did we put ourselves through!"  I just can't wait to see it!

I am SO excited to read more.  You have done a great job of capturing Jim and Pam post-merger.  I like how their interactions are peppered with both awkwardness and tenderness at the same time.  Why do you only post one chapter?  GAH.

I just want to say thanks for giving me a sneak preview because I loved this chapter.  I think it really goes along with where the series is at right now, and I have to give you a lot of credit for that.  It's like reading spoilers, though!  I knew exactly what was going to happen when I read it.  I can't decide if I like that or not.  Anyway, awesome, if I didn't tell you earlier.  I want the next chapter NOW.

I love it.  I love reading about the "outside" life of our office staff that we never get to see.  Please write more like this.

Also:  a side note, I loved the bit about Karen and the music and how she just doesn't "get it" but she's trying so hard to fit into what she thinks he wants; I can't tell you how many times I've done that before and every time I did that it was wrong; the person was just wrong, and I think that's the best way to sort of explain why Karen is just not right for Jim, you know?  It's endearing that she's trying so hard to impress Jim of all people.  That's what really funny and interesting about that bit.  We, as the viewer, always had this perception of Jim as this slacker, laid-back, easy-going kind of guy, not some indie hipster with a taste for the eccentric and unattainable - but to Karen, who doesn't know him the way we do, she feels like she has to try to impress and/or "fit in" to his scene, which... I don't know, I just think that's so funny.  I loved that bit.

Man, I liked them all.  Please write more!!

This was sad and sweet and a lot of what I think Pam is thinking right now. Thanks for posting the YouTube link with that song.  I probably wouldn't have been able to appreciate the story as much without hearing the song first.  (I liked the vid, too).

I really like these little vinettes about Jim's feelings for Pam.  I felt he seemed uncharacteristicially bold in the first one (with his hand on her cheek), but then I thought that they were probably both a little drunk (Pam a lot drunk -- I love the details in that story, too, heh) ... and I have to admit that I've been there, having someone do something like that even though it was too much at the time, and then questioning whether it really happened.  I love these. 

Author's Response: Thanks.  Actually when I wrote this story, I had it in my head that he hadn't actually done that, but that they were so close and the fact that Pam was drunk and angry at Roy, she'd imagined it and it felt real to her.  It was just sort of a picture I couldn't get out of my head.  Thanks for your review!

OMG.  Best.  Chapter.  Ever.  This was over-the-top in pitch-perfect Michael Scott style.  I laughed and squealed and covered my face so many times reading this and now all I can think is, "Oh my God, Roy's going to beat Jim up!" and wow... this is fantastic.  I could totally see this happening on the show.  I want Mr. GF to read this because I think he'd find it just hilarious, too -- we both love the awkward-Michael moments.  Wow.  Okay.... wow.

Wow, this was a great, but super-maddening place to leave off.  I can't WAIT to see what happens next.  *sigh*  It's so crazy; your Michael chapter nearly had me in tears I was laughing and cringing so much, and now this chapter - just leaves me with a sense of sadness and longing and ... sigh.  It's exactly where I see things right now, so I can't WAIT for the happy ending!

Wow, I just ... gah.  I really like the song title that you chose for the title of this story.  Not usually a songfic kinda-gal but your choices were great and sparsely placed and it worked, and I give you credit for that.  And I just love watching the story progress ... first the parking lot ... then "coffee" ... then hanging out ... and, man, I felt my stomach go weak when he pulled her close because I just knew that was it.  *sigh*

UGH, WIP, Noooooo.  Please write more now. I am so excited about a New Year's Eve party and, hello, I just love this!  You had so many things right and can I just say how much I love Uncomfortable!Jim and I am dying to read about the party!  Okay, that whole diatribe was suspiciously Kelly-like, but I really am enjoying this so far.  Please let us know when you update on TWOP.  Please update soon.  AHHHH.

Ah, I love this story, especially that it's from Karen's perspective.  That's awesome.  It really gives this an interesting twist ... 

Phyllis is one of my favorite characters, and I loved her take-charge attitude with Pam at Pam's desk.  The only question I have is, how did Phyllis get to see the kiss between them?  I understand from the story that she saw it on video, but why did Phyllis see it and not Pam?  I'm just curious about the backstory behind that comment.  Sorry -- just a stickler for details... I love knowing about little stuff like that.

You've got an interesting start...

Wow, I love Karen calling him "Jekell and Hyde," there is definitely something "off" about Jim, and I could really see Karen getting it.  I like that about her -- she's not stupid; she gets it; and she doesn't beat around the bush.  Pam and Karen's approaches to life are like oil and water, and ... yeah.  Man, I can't wait for what comes next.  OOOOOOHHH.
