I think this is beautifully written. My only criticism is that I'm having a hard time imagining Pam using Jim like this if she's not really in love with him. Even so, you have a way with words.
Author's Response: Well don't worry Sara2009, because (in case you haven't met me) I can't stand that either. All I'll say is stay tuned for some serious realizations from Pam. Trust me...she's lying to herself and everyone else about everything at this point, but she'll stop eventually ;-)

GAH, you're killing me here. But in a good way. I can just feel Pam's angst and neediness. But I am a bit confused about one thing: Is Pam actually in love with Jim(and lying to herself about it), or is she just using him because she feels unloved by Roy?
Author's Response: hmmm... ;-) Seriously, enjoy the journey. I promise it will be worth it and Pam will come out looking ok in the end. I promise.

This is very well-written, but I disagree with the sentiment. I think Jim fell in love with Pam for all the reasons he stated in "Booze Cruise." It depresses me to think that he only loves her because he's a glutton for punishment.
Also, is this set before or after "Beach Games?" I'm a bit unsure.

I must say that this is very well-written. But I sort of disagree with the premise. I don't quite understand why Pam needs to be alone to find herself. I think she did that in season 3.
But even with that, I love your style. And even though I'm not sure I buy Pam's sudden need for space, I found her and Jim's reactions to the aftermath to be completely in character.

This is beautifully written. Even though I don't think this would ever happen on the show, I definitely think it could happen if Jim/Pam were real people. Even though it might hurt to read, it will be interesting to read about what it would be like if Jim/Pam didn't end up together. I'm just assuming that they won't in thia story.
Author's Response: Thanks so much Sara. I don\'t think it will happen on the show either (I sure hope it won\'t!), but I could see it happening in real life, especially given their history. Anyway, it\'s interesting to explore the \"what ifs\"... Thanks for reading and reviewing!
After a summer in New York Pam gets a new perspective on things, and marriage is no longer first on her agenda.

I think this was well-written, and I definitely bought Jim's reactions to everything. But I do have a bit of criticism. I could just be biased, but I'm not sure I could see Pam changing this much. Why wouldn't she opt to marry Jim AND pursue her art? I've always had the impression that Pam's personal relationships are her top priority, and I can't see her becoming "big city girl."
Author's Response: Thank you for your feedback. I agree that it\'s highly unlikely Pam would \"sacrifice\" her relationship like that, but I wanted to explore \"what if?\"
