Hey just re-read the story. I liked the last chapter, having read the previous one I was a bit sceptical thinking surely Jim would be over Roy, but your last chapter was perfect, showing how he knows he has to accept he was part of her life

I have to admit I disagree with your early chapters on Jim's feelings. I don't think he genuinely meant to be cold or horrible to Pam. The only part he possibly was a bit harsh was in "Negotiation", but other than that he simply kept a distance in my mind rather than being cold to her. The way you describe him taking pleasure in Pam's expression whenever she saw him with Karen, I just can't imagine Jim doing that. I think he genuinely believes she didn't have any feelings whatsoever for him, and was completely oblivious to her staring.

But thats the only part I disagree with, I really love this story, and I'm really curious as to who left the piece of paper insulting Jim in his folder. Could it possibly have been Pam from back when she was angry at him?

I keep making the disclaimer that I wish I could go back and completely re-edit all those early chapters; I wrote so much other stuff over the summer and changed a lot of my ideas of what their relationship was like...but I\'m going to leave it all as it is and call it a learning experience :) I appreciate your candor about Jim\'s feelings early on. In fact, when I was rewatching season 3 I decided that maybe I was exaggerating his resentment. On the other hand, though, the way he ignored her in BG struck me as purposeful. But aaaah I\'m gonna leave it. In any case, thank you for reading (and re-reading), and leaving your thoughts. As for that last mystery... I\'m not telling. :)

Hey. Great to see this story updated again. I really hope they can somehow work it out. I'm kinda hoping it's Pam to make the first move this time though. Please update soon :)

Great to see this back! I like the 2 timeframes....but if I'm honest I'm definitely finding the one in the present more gripping right now simply because I want to see how she and Jim will react to meeting

I can't help but feel sad reading this story, that they didn't even have a chnance to re-connect after CN. Hopefully things get better

Hey I really like this idea. Very clever. I like the way you use a lot of the same lines from the show but in different scenarios. Ooh I wonder if Jim starts dating Katy to make Pam jealous. I hope you update soon!

Great chapter! I love this idea.

Thought I'd add in a couple of other possible scenarios for you.

If Pam noticed Jim taking the christmas card in season 2
If Jim said yes to coffee in merger.
if Pam was honest with Jim in merger
If Pam had been honest with Karen in Ben Franklin when she asked her if she was inetersted in Jim?

Anyways keep it up, cant wait for next chapter!

Nice chapter. I can only imagine what Jim and Pam would have been if they had met so early. Will be interesting to see how different her life pans out if she ends up going out with Jim rather than Roy.
LOL I loved Michael and Dwight in this chapter. I was nice how you incorporated the Dundies.

I liked both chapters. Obviously preferred Epilogue A as nothing beats happy JAM. It's nice that they are still working together, even though it's not in DM

Epilogue B was very sad, but also well written. It was nice that Pam finished happy rather than depressed and full of regret or guilt.

Looking forward to more in the future!

I always liked the notion of Jim/Pam as a small business owners, so I got to work that into the story. \r\nI really wanted to leave Pam on a positive note in the second story. That was brill, an excellent read!
I'm a big fan of House and can I just say you were absolutely fantastic in writing his character and personality, brilliant!

On the story itself, I think Pam reacted exactly the way you expected her to have, but I feel Jim was slightly OOC, I can't imagine him acting the way he did.

If you think about it, just the week before "Ben Franklin" in "Back From Vacation" ,he's admitted he still has feelings for Pam, surely more than anything he wants her to feel the same way. At this point in time his relationship isn't that strong with Karen so it shouldn't really affect him so much. Ok Pam does drop a lot in on him at once, but if you think about it, she did the same on Beach Day, in front of all of their co-workers and Jims girlfriend, when Jim was much closer to moving on and actually leaving again, surely he'd have been angrier there on beach day? But he wasn't, he was quite understanding, and I just can't imagine him reacting this way.
Also the week after at Phylis' wedding, when the camera crew ask him what he would think if Pam was interested, he seems to light up at the possibility, so if Pam had told him her feelings like she did in this fic, I can't see him acting like such a jerk. I don't know, its the only minor aspect of the fic that bugged me, but I still loved it, House made me laugh so much he was brilliant, especially with Jim.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review, Noodles - I appreciate your comments.  My thoughts on what you've said regarding Jim are such:  I agree that perhaps he would have been more open to Pam's confession - and indeed by the next morning was pretty much on the road to her - but the interference of House put him on serious defense.  Besides not being sure of the relationship between House and Pam, the fact that Jim is such a private person means to me that having some strange guy talking so bluntly about such things is the fastest way to make Jim want to flee.  I think the fact that he still broke up with Karen the day after Pam told him says volumes for his reaction, deep down.  I think perhaps I could have made the distinction a little better that his negativity was House-related more than Pam-related. But I'm super glad you liked my version of House - he's just the best!

I liked this last chapter best. I like the whole concept of this fic but if i were to have a criticism, it would be that each chapter has been very brief and short, maybe if they talked more about each episode and what they felt at the time or something it would be better

Wow I can only imagine what Jim must be thinking. Hopefully he asks Pam soon. Hmm I wonder who he asks to the dance....Katy maybe?
