Is it just me, or does Jim seem more of annoying in this than Ryan? Ryan just seems to be joking around with him and Jim is getting annoyed for no reason.

I liked the first chapter, but personally I think Pam is over-reacting at the end of the 2nd. Yes Jim was out of line, but he said things in the heat of the moment. To ask him to prove his love for her after all he has been through with her is a bit unfair, especially just because of one mistake. I hope she realizes this in the next chapter.

Author's Response: Well yes Pam is overreacting. To me, I believe she would over react because it\'s their first fight and she\'s very upset angry over what Jim said to her. They both have made mistakes though and really need to talk it out when they\'re not upset with each other. I hope you\'ll stick with the story, it will get better!

A very interesting take. Normally childhood AUs I have read have Roy in the way of Jim and Pam, but Karen being in the middle is different, and it's kind of a role reversal too with pam pining over Jim, so kudos on the originality! :)

Personally, I like to think had Jim and Pam known each other in high school and were single, I'd imagine them being a couple from as early as then, so I don't envisage something like this would have happened, but nevertheless I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this!

I really liked this chapter. It would have been too easy to have made out that Jim's brothers are always asses, I think it's way more realistic what you've portrayed, that they are cool brothers, they just like teasing Jim and think for whatever reason their form of teasing is hilarious.
