Bio:
My Jim and Pam thoughts are probably best left to daydreams, rather than any sort of attempt at writing them down - the fanfic drive has been lost for a while now. But it's high time I registered here so I can start complimenting the more talented writers. :)

Oh my God...this is the most incredible & heartbreaking story I have read in ages. Long after I've left the computer, I can't stop thinking about it, and I have to keep coming back and rereading the hardest-hitting parts. Him needing her to make something feel normal, the part where we find out what happened, "so we can bury our baby," -- pretty sure I let out an audible whimper when she cries about her body not knowing he's gone -- breakdown in the nursery, the *videos*, Will & Jim wearing matching looks...so, so achingly beautiful. The happy ending is just the icing on the cake. Incredible work.
The first week is the longest. A visit.

When I found this in late June (better a late review than none, right?) I was still depressed over the finale, and then this appeared like a light in the darkness! Best thing I've read all year - I printed it out immediately and have read it approximately 800 times since - and it was a huge comfort/relief to be able to believe the summer was passing just like this. Love the urgency in their meeting, but ending with a flip through Pam's sketchbook...that encapsulates everything I love about them. And talk about beautiful descriptive details in everything; it played out as clear as video in my mind.
Author's Response: That's incredibly flattering x 800. I'm so pleased this captured what you love about them - and soothed your post-finale angst. Your being able to actually see it play out in your head is the best praise to me - you never know if the details will come across as vividly to a reader as they seem in your head while writing. So thanks for that - and for your very generous review, Rainbow Stevie.
“Are you awake?”Â
A Tuesday morning someday in the future.
I have only have one warning about this fic: not everything is how it first appears.

Oh God, cannot stop bawling. I saw your warning and tried to work out the meaning, thinking this stolen time was her cheating on Roy or something. But the more ominous dark kept settling in, and then "it was a Tuesday they met and a Tuesday she died" and OW, OW, OWWWWW. I've read this three times on different days and cried every time I get to the end. You always have the most breathtaking way with words.

This is everything I could have needed after that finale - I only wish I'd found it sooner. You've vastly improved my opinion of Holly; I'm cracking up at "Lamas" classes, and I really like how you've handled Pam's mood. Perfect companion piece for the episode, thank you.
Author's Response: Aww, I\'m glad you found it at all -- at least it was before the premiere. And I\'m SO GLAD you liked it! Thanks so much for the review. :)
