Wonderful work as always. It is a testament to your talent that these chapters are all less than a thousand words but still have a lot of emotional depth and character development that might take other writers (cough cough me cough cough) like 2.5k words to do, haha! Also it was way fun to explore Sydney on Google Maps! It was already on my bucket list but now you’ve given me lots of places to go when I finally get the chance to visit!

Author's Response:

Thank you! This next one is our longest, but it's still only 1500 or so. Thank you for the compliment! I usually feel like I am cheating everyone by not having the longer chapters everyone else writes, but I'm literally incapable of writing more than about 2k words in a single mental arc, so I don't. Delighted to know it still works for you emotionally.

I also want to visit these places so badly. Gotta admit, the travelogue element is kind of wish fulfillment here, especially mid-pandemic.

Got all caught up on the last few chapters, where they see each other and he’s waving and she kisses him and I just love it so much! It’s very Jim and Pam. I’m glad they’re getting to have all of their talk with just the two of them, because I wonder what all Pam would have said if there hadn’t been a crowd of people watching her spill her heart out. So this is a good look into that! I love how you write their playful flirtiness mixed with awkwardness. Great job as always!

Author's Response: More coming! I'm glad you're enjoying it, and I do think it's valuable to not have an audience for Pam--she's not always the most public person.

All caught up and I’m glad they’re taking their time! I love these innocent little interactions interspersed with more serious conversation. And I’m glad to see that they’re tackling the issue of Stamford without a lot of doom and gloom or skirting around it. Great as always, Comfect!

Author's Response: Thank you! I' so glad you caught up. Glad to have you with us.

Just got all caught up and I don’t have much to say that hasn’t already been said. This is so lovely, as all your stories are, and I am going to miss it when it is complete! I love Australian Jim and Pam. You write such complete versions of them no matter the setting. Looking forward to the next update!

Author's Response: Thank you! I really appreciate that. It means a lot coming from you!

I’m so looking forward to finding out what happens with Stamford! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed their date and just KNEW Jim was going to go buy her a ring a few chapters ago. I loved that look into his reasons for doing so! Excellent as always, Comfect!

Author's Response: Thank you! I really appreciate that, especially coming from you!

I just read about forty chapters of this—you might be the most prolific contributor I’ve seen on this site—and it was all so good! I loved reading about the rest of their time in Sydney and the way they figured out the Stamford situation and how they became friends with Karen, which is something I think could have happened had things been different. Great job as always!

Author's Response: Wow! I'm flattered you took the time to catch up! I am so glad you're enjoying this; only a few more to go!

Oh I just love how you reframed this and still gave Pam that meaningful and impactful coal walk. It made me smile so big!

Author's Response: Thank you! I found the coalwalk vital enough to keep in no matter what!

Congratulations! What an undertaking. You finished it up so well and did such a lovely job! Already looking forward to your next!

Author's Response: Thank you! The next may be a while, but I'm so glad you enjoyed this one!

So lovely. I could picture it all so vividly! Especially Jim bursting into the office looking worried and scared. I also love how you’ve written Michael, because I think that’s truly him. Willing to stand up and do what’s right even if it means getting pinched. Wonderful job!

Author's Response:

Thanks, BT! I love writing Michael - he’s just so fun. But, the comedy he brings aside, at his core Michael is good. He has a big heart & wants to care for his people. That’s my favorite Michael...

Summary:

And maybe someday it's me and you,

But right now I can't seem to feel it too,

You're on my mind,

I know it hurts it's just not our time.

Welcome! So happy to have you with us at MTT. I am a sucker for a post CN story and I love seeing all the different takes! I really liked switching back and forth between Jim and Pam and how they both stayed up, unable to sleep. I like that Jim got kinda mad or frustrated with Pam after she called. And my heart just broke for her when she found out he had transferred. I am excited to read more from you!

Author's Response:

First of all, I adore your username. Secondly, thank you so much! I'm also a sucker for a good Casino Night fic, especially if it ends up a lot better than I let it end up lol. Jim only ever gets frustrated with Pam when he can't handle his love for her (;

Thank you again for the review!

Summary: -Jim starts at Stamford and immediately starts to regret his decision. Will one last prank on Dwight with the help of Pam change everything for them?- This is my first story ever so it will get better as it goes on.

Welcome! We are always glad to have new contributors and you'll find that this is a really welcome community.

I really liked how you described the atmosphere of the new office as Jim came in to his first day. I can totally picture him walking into a full on Call of Duty session and thinking "wtf!" And I am curious to see how you handle Jim and Pam talking so soon after Casino Night, and what exactly they have in mind as a prank while also discussing/dealing with Jim's revelation and Pam's refusal. The great thing about fanfiction is that we can often turn canon on it's head and change the story as it was previously told. So I'm looking forward to you doing that here!

warrior and Jenna have already very eloquently given the same constructive comments that I would give myself. I am always in a hurry to share what I've written with everyone that I'll speed through proofing and found that having an extra pair of eyes look things over before I submit has been really helpful to me in the past. Maybe ask in the shoutbox if anybody would want to be a beta reader for you? I'm sure there is someone who would love to help!

Keep writing and updating, please! We love new members and new takes on the characters that we know and love. Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for us!

Author's Response:

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review

I really appreciate the welcome onto the site and am grateful for the constructive criticism I have been receiving as well as the advise. As I have mentioned in my other responses I do intend to take more time with the coming chapters as well as filling any plot-holes in regards to the cannon story line.

Thanks again for the welcome and the review.

Summary: Past Featured Story

Pam's father is leaving her mother. Somehow, Jim is to blame.

Set Season 3, sometime after The Merger.

(Don't ask me why I took a perfect canon moment, put it in Season 3 & sprinkled in some angst, but I did...)

So a couple of weeks ago a friend followed me on Twitter right after I’d interacted with MTT and my pen name and everything because pretty easy to find. She and I had already talked about writing/reading FF and I’m 32 and have lost my ability to care about what people think (finally, lol) but I did tell her “oh if you go read any...some of it is just straight up porn.” So girl, tell your office loving friend! Shout it from the rooftops cause this is so good!! I know I’m not alone in requesting more more more more!!!

Author's Response:

I’m 29 so fingers crossed that ability not to care to kicks in soon... I kid, a little - she’s one of the friends whose opinion I value most so if I showed it to her & she wasn’t that into it, I think I’d be crushed. I look forward to having the confidence to show her in a good 3 years or so ;)

Although you wonderful people on here saying that it doesn’t completely suck may bolster my confidence all the sooner. Thank you!

Okay 10k word one shot queen! I see you! I love how you switched things up and made Dwight the person who showed Pam “hey, you can do this!” I’ve always always loved their friendship. I loved the different ending to these scenes we all know so well. If only we’d be able to skip that much angst in the show! (Jk I love some good angst, who am I trying to kid?) Great job, looking forward to seeing more from you!

Author's Response: I really debated myself hard over who would be the one to fight for who, and how they would manage to do it. I was originally going to have Jim tell Pam "I wanted you to fight for me and you didn't" during an angsty fight that ended up with them together, but then I thought because of Pam getting more and more courage at this point in the show, I'd have Pam be the one to tell Jim in that angsty fight. Then I got to the part where I had to write about Dwight and Pam's scene, and decided Pam would say it to Dwight and he would help her realize what to do. I couldn't resist a Dwight and Pam moment if someone paid me to. Thanks so much for your review!

I can’t waitttttttttt to see what happens! I love it so much already! I think it tackles a situation that we clearly are all thinking about right now but without being insensitive to current events. It’s a tricky line to walk but I think you’ve done it really well. Update soon, please!

Author's Response: I'm glad to hear this was received in the spirit I had intended. Thanks so much for your encouragement and kind review. I just posted chapter 2! I'd love for you to take a look.

I cannot WAIT for this story to continue. It’s so good! You wrote all the supporting characters perfectly and I loved the way they each interacted with the others family. Hoping for another update soon!

Author's Response: Your wait is over--chapter 3 is up now :) I'm so glad you like how I'm writing these characters--that's the best compliment I could get. Thanks for the awesome review.

I mean, wow. That was exceptionally written. I agree with Jenna in that infidelity is a struggle for me, even in fiction. But the way Roy is acting makes me wonder what exactly his conversation with Pam earlier had entailed. That last line though, oof. I can’t wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I don't like infidelity either, but that certainly happened a lot on the show too.  As for Roy, you'll just have to wait and see what happens. Chapter 5 is up now.

I loved Dwight in his tractor. And you write their scenes if intimacy so well! I’m glad Pam came clean with Roy, even though he’d been unfaithful more often and for longer. I don’t want her to go into anything with Jim with a guilty conscience. Can’t wait to see how things end!

Author's Response: Yes, Dwight and the tractor were fun to write. Glad you enjoyed that. And thanks for all your kind words--it's really encouraging and much appreciated. I just posted the conclusion. Would love to hear what you think.

You wrapped this up so perfectly! I loved it. Job very well done. I especially loved their conversation about taking it slow and Pam having her independence. You’re very talented and I can’t wait to read more from you!

Author's Response: Thank you! You are too kind. Hopefully I will have another new fic soon.

This is precious and pretty perfect. I love the imagery of her on the DM rooftop in her dress and sneakers, and Jim finding her there! I like to picture all the different ways Pam might have called off the wedding, and I find the way you’ve written it to be believable. Also. That sucks so hard for your aunt! It’s pretty crazy all that really happened to someone, and now this!

Author's Response: Thanks BT! Uhhhh, feel free to write all the ways you picture Pam calling off her wedding! I would 12/10 be here for that.

My poor aunt, it really does suck. Fingers crossed the postponed date goes ahead smoothly for this wedding!
