Bio:

I'm a student living in Seattle. For a while I was only reading and reviewing, (I'm pretty shy) but then I decided to go for it and begin posting - albeit very sporadically. I still feel that I've got a long way to go in terms of my writing, but as I'm busy with school I'm content to just read, review and beta for now.

That said, I love to rock climb, travel (Europe in particular), listen to old 60's music, read all of your stories here and watch The Office, How I Met Your Mother and Gilmore Girls.

Email me anytime and I'll gladly beta for you - just know that I might be a bit preoccupied from time to time with school, but I'm still interested. My email is: pamelamorganhalpert [at] yahoo [dot] com

P.S. I saw Jenna Fischer in person in May 2010 at the world premiere of her movie 'A Little Help' and I've got a insy winsy picture on my phone to prove it (sadly no autograph...). However, I can say that I've been within a foot of Jenna, as she walked right by me to take pictures for the press.

OH MY GOD! I will write my review in screenplay format.

PAMELAMORGANHALPERT sits with a MacBook Pro laptop on her thighs, a beaming smile on her lips, her yes beginning to water as she gapes at the screen in front of her.

PAMELAMORGANHALPERT:
'Why did you do this for me?'

STABLERGIRL:
Because I thought you might enjoy it and I knew I was such a talented and incredible author that I just decided 'hey, what the heck - there's no harm, no foul in doing this, I'll just go for it - and succeed. Incredibly. And embarrassingly well'.

PAMELAMORGANHALPERT:
My goodness, Stablergirl, you've read my mind. This is brilliant, and perfect in every possible way, and I don't know how you do it. I love this story.

STABLERGIRL:
I know, I'm a mindreader. Ever since I was a little kid I've been able... to kind of... control things with my mind. You know, just the littlest things. But this story is not little, it's a wonderful happy Christmas present and I knew you'd love the Paris part.

PAMELAMORGANHALPERT:
You're right. I'll leave you be, as I'm only a spectator, a fan, and you're the master. Keep up the good work!

END SCENE.

Alright, sorry that was cheesy and pathetic, I was just finishing my math homework... taking a break, more like it, and I felt like being a little different. Anyway, if you didn't understand, I love this story!

Summary: Past Featured StoryJim and Pam, moments from each month, starting with May 2007.  Just sort of filling in some blanks.  Some fluff, a little angst here and there. Eventually I'll get through a whole year.  Spoilers through "The Job," I guess.

Okay, how on earth could you be mixed about liking this chapter??!?!!!?????? (my exact emotions... ???!!?!?!??...lol) I really liked the part about Pam's bad day, calling her baby was so sweet, just on that occasion when they could get away with cheesy, and I really liked the canvas and paints stuff (since I love to paint, too). Great job, very well written. Why don't you post something new one of these days? (but please, NOT a baby fic or something like that. something original, like the rest of your work. that fresh, original stuff is great, especially because it shows creativity that they decided to come up with something totally new!). alright, sorry about my blabber, just great job with this chapter, i'm going to finish the story and i hope you come up with something new one of these days. I'm always open to beta'ing if you want it.

Okay, that was positively adorable (the second part, that is) and I really liked hearing about your take of Pam's father. You've really got a talent for capturing inner emotion, great job!

Also, as I am a girl, I'd love to see what kind of ring you'd pick out for Pam. I'm just curious as to what a guy would choose. I've seen many female-picked rings, but I'm curious about what a guy would choose. I just repeated myself, darn.

Oh well, on to the next chapter!

this was fantastic! i really wish you'd write the paris fic, but that might be too good to be true. ah well, this was great!

Hey Ann,

Thanks so much for sending me that message! I actually have been checking the archive from time to time, so I did read the latest chapters. Thanks so much for continuing to update, I love when authors get back to old stories they'd almost forgotten about. Sorry I didn't leave a review, school gets hectic and I sort of read and ran. Now I feel a little guilty... Anyways, thanks again for picking this back up again, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how you continue this. Cardiac Care has been one of my favorite stories for a long time! I just love the way you write Jim and Pam. :)

Again, thanks so much for reaching out to me, it's so sweet of you to have sent me that message, it made me so happy to have been remembered. Happy Valentine's Day (and happy writing)!
Claire, or PMH

Author's Response: You're welcome.  I was looking over old reviews last week and noticed that names kind of come and go in waves.  There were some readers whose reviews really kept me going when I'd periodically lose interest in continuing the story.  And I felt bad that I'd let down the people who used to come to MTT faithfully but now don't anymore.  I know the notification feature hasn't worked in forever, so I figured a bunch of people just think I'm a slacker who never finished what she started.  So I sent a message to a few people who have the same name on the archive and the discussion boards.  I felt kinda weird about it but I figured that people who used to leave a lot of reviews might actually be interested in reading the rest of the story ... if they knew there WAS a rest of the story!  I'm glad you've still been enjoying.

Thanks for coming back, VB! This was a great update, I really loved the change in relationship between Jim and Ted, that was a pleasure to read. Please continue, and let me know if you want another beta, I'm glad to help you if you'd like that. Keep going, and let's see some JAM moments!

Author's Response: Thank you, pmh! I'm definitely continuing till this story is complete. Right now I have a solid beta crew of three readers (jazzfan, andtheivy and Blind Assassin) but sometimes a beta gets too involved in, you know, real life and has to "resign." I will definitely remember your kind offer if any of my betas has to do this. :-)

My goodness- this just whizzed by! Thanks for the speedy update! I feel so lucky. Incredible writing in this chapter, so detailed and realistic - and I just love Mrs. H. That was beautiful with the interaction between her and Pam. Lovely, lovely. Let's see some heart to hearts between Mrs. H and Jim to get him to talk to Pam about their feelings. Or heart to hearts with Pam, too. That would be amazing. I trust you have an idea in mind already that will blow us away. Keep going!

Author's Response: I'm hoping my ideas will blow you away!  Thanks for the review.  I'm glad you liked my version of Larissa.

okay. i'm SO SORRY that this is the first review i've written for this story. i've read from the beginning, yet i was so engaged to the story i didn't want to stop. i even was reading until about 11:40 on a school night when i was done studying before the office. talk about dedication.

i guess this is the best time of any to say i am so in love with this story. i've said about three times before to an author that a story was my favorite ever, but then i read something else that changes my mind. so currently this is the chart topper. BY FAR. amazing job - with every chapter. never seen a typo, always makes perfect sense. the dialogue is so smooth (which is a struggle for most). you're just doing an incredible job. amazing actually. this has been my favorite chapter of all of them. so descriptive - which is actually my drug, i cling to every word, and jim's thoughts and reactions were incredible this chapter.

fantastic job, and i probably won't review for a while. maybe once again at the most recent chapter. and fyi, i don't like to say much at the last chapter, because i like to keep all the amazingly rich thoughts in my mind. i know, i'm so greedy.

i'm reading again in 3...2...1...

p.s. i'm giving you about a 20 out of 10 so far for this story. dead serious.

Author's Response:

Wow!!  You have pretty much left me speechless here, pamelamorganhalpert!  Thank you so much for leaving such a great review.  There actually are a few typos out there.  I sometimes find them when I'm re-reading to make sure I'm keeping things consistent.  (A wee bit of a challenge when you take almost 2 years to finish a story with this many chapters...)  I do edit the story and fix 'em when I find them.  I'm glad you think the dialogue sounds authentic and that you think it's descriptive enough.  That's where I struggle.  I tend to write all the dialogue first and have to fill in later.

Which chapter were you reviewing, if I may ask.  I'm interested since you said it was your favorite.  The title reviewed shows as "none."

Well, before my computer craps out, I should get back to revising the next chapter.  Thanks again!

that was incredible. so powerful and expressive, even though not all was out in the open. i loved pam's inner thoughts on her dad sending jim down to watch her. that was so beautiful. lovely. this is the most powerful story i've ever read. i really feel drawn to the versions of jim and pam that you write about, they seem like such troubled, yet lovable and big hearted people. i love reading about pam's father, he sounds like an incredible man. it's beautiful the way you talk about their chapel moments. they're some of my favorite parts to read in this story.

i love also the way you show jim and pam touching one another. the way they hold each other's hands, hug each other, kiss their hair and foreheads, shy, yet powerful connections that give each other the energy they need to get through this experience for both of them. you're doing such an amazing job, i enjoy this so much and am savoring every chapter. i don't want the story to ever end, because it is all so real. it's hard to say you're in love with a traumatic hospital story about two people who could've died and are now recovering. yet the people who care for them here are so amazing and it's a delight to read about YOUR jim and pam. i can't wait to keep reading.

Author's Response:

Well, first of all, you can forget my question about which chapter the other review was about.  I just for the first time noticed that, when I go into the response screen, the display changes the chapter title to "None."  But when I go back to the list of reviews, I see the right title names.  I know now that the last review was for "Not a Bad Day."

I just don't even know what to say to such a glowing review.  Thank you.

good luck with the new job!

great chapter - so hard right now to be patient - i've never had to wait for a chapter of this story before!

can't wait to see what happens!

Author's Response: Well, my postings are often pretty slow.  (As is obvious if you look at the creation date for this story.)  But I've got the next one moving along nicely, so I'm promising to have it up by next weekend.

So glad these reviews are leaving you happy. Some times I think my reviews are so long that they leave people bored. And I'm glad you figured out how to see what chapter I reviewed for. When you reply the screen changes but before you click that button it should tell you. This was for Not a Bad Day if you didn't figure it out. Seriously the best chapter in the best story I've ever read.

Author's Response: Well, long and detailed reviews may bore other readers but, BELIEVE me, they don't bore the author whose story you're reviewing!  I really do appreciate the time you took to write all those notes.  These chapters take DAYS to write and it's nice to read the feedback from readers.

so glad you decided to post this. it definitely is something i'd find hard - practically impossible to write. but it needed to be done, and you did it very well. (i'm going to hold back here. it's 11:50 pm but i just had to read this story, but i'm thinking about something that starts with a 'that's'... fairly obvious)

okay. i'm really not making any sense. but i love this story, and i knew the breakup needed to happen - i just wasn't sure when it would happen. i think the anger from karen actually works and i can't wait to see how you continue. great job!

and also, i read the 1st dates..... story you wrote a few years ago with the other authors - it was incredible. i loved the whole story and as i was reading i decided not to see who wrote each chapter until i wrote a review - yet i could always tell which ones were yours because i thought they were the best ones written - not to mention the most creative. the day in philly was brilliant!

so shocked to see this chapter posted - you said it would be up this weekend - what a great surprise!

lol! wow, it is an honor to review. i actually like it much better than writing stories. but i do have an idea stored up in my brain. don't actually want to write it out though. well i guess i do, i loved reading the reviews people left for me on my teeny-weeny one-shot, but.... oh well.

maybe it you have some time i could tell you about my idea, and get some feedback from you. that would be pretty awesome. let me know if you ever have a chance to read a brief outline and i'll send it to you.

but seriously, you are my favorite author here at MTT, you just keep getting better!

okay, i don't want to abuse this perfection in any way, but i do want to say that this has literally and honestly been the best story i've ever read. i've said that so many times but i didn't really mean it until now. that is one of the best chapters i've read of any story in my entire life. i copy and pasted it to a word document and printed it out so i could take it with me in the bathroom. (you didn't need to know that) i loved it that much. this must had so much, as you put it, raw emotion, i loved that way you said that. because it's so true, this is what jim and pam clearly have going on between them, and even though they try to resist it, they keep coming back to each other, because that's just who they are. you have so effortlessly captured every bit of that and more into you stories. this is incredible!

just wanted to say that, i'll keep reading!
