I liked it. Very believable dialogue especially for a conversation going on smack dab in the middle of the work day. Small details and descriptions of what they were doing were very poignant. I appreciated the lack of outright sex talk, which from Pam’s reaction when Roy mentioned it in the workplace reflects well on the subtlety of what was going on.

Ahh if only they had done that. But then we wouldn’t have had that angsty and oh so satisfying end that we did in season 3. But this is good too.

Oh the fluff. The sweetness! I think I got a cavity! I like the progression from content, to longing, to a slight pining, to satisfaction, and finally bliss. Or at least, that sort of saw each morning. Very lovely to read. Everyone seems to be a fan of flower names for Pam and Jim’s children!

Summary:

Response to the Summer Job Challenge:

The summer before Pam's Junior year of high school, Pam lands a part-time job answering phones at Anderson Realty.

This WAS a one-shot, but I'm having some writers' block issues with What They Don't Know...This is more to tide me over, but you're welcome to enjoy it!

Teenage spin on The Office? Should be interesting. Poor Pam, she has yet to learn to listen to her womanly instincts…

Card holder names for the basketball team? Nice! I wonder what sort of school he goes to. High school romances are always interesting

Wow she quit already. I would’ve thought she’d stick it out. Pam seems the type to endure torture longer than needed. Good for her! Wonder if she’ll get a job at the grocer with this new basketball player friend of hers…

Cute, simple. I bet you could flesh this out more if you'd like. I never really thought about what they did at the Estate sale. Interesting point...

Poor Jan, no one likes her anymore. Well being a boss is tough, I know that! Though the receptionists usually get the short end of the stick with everything in offices. Grace would know best! Now she has to deal with pompous Ryan, oh boy. I think it’s funny how she has that school girl giggle reaction when she realizes she’s speaking with Jim on the phone. Haven’t we all been there?

Summary:

When she finally realized he was actually gone, she refused to believe it.

A little angsty, no fluffy ending. Pam won't believe Jim's gone, but these chapters are trying to prove it to her. Set between Casino Night and The Merger.

There's just a bunch of really short stories...like think 55 challenge stories, but a little longer.

So was it official that it was a bridesmaids dress? I always thought so myself, just from the style and the type of fabric... Anyway, how sad that its association was with disappointment. I found it quite pretty on her!

Ahh, was that Dwight that said that? I don't know if I like that... I mean he is a jerk and says things before thinking but I always thought he seemed a little slow on the uptake. Didn't seem much for verbally attacking women either, but at least he shut up when he saw how badly he hurt Pam.

Very hot, I got the warning but my brain wasn’t functioning properly so I was slightly surprised when it started to veer into jumping one another’s bones. A pleasant surprise mind you. I would like to get the car that Jim has with so much room for maneuvering in the front seat. Honking horns can be embarrassing in a mall parking lot!! But other than that, I enjoyed the story, it seemed very real the wanting and *need* for one another after such a long separation. So true. Enjoyed it greatly!
