Date: June 26, 2008 Title: Chapter 2: Fortune Cookie
Love this little morsel: like watching someone try to thread a needle while wearing a catcher’s mitt. I bet that's not the only difference between Jim & Roy's hands.
I wonder if after Pam pounces on Jim, will she be hungry again an hour later?
Author's Response: You may be right...but no problem - I think Jim would be happy to dish up seconds. He's a generous guy. ;-) Thanks much Lisa...now, let's take a moment to ponder those hands, shall we?
Date: June 29, 2008 Title: Chapter 3: Ancient Mayan Princesses
*Melts* Again. Even though there were no 'actual' cookies in this chapter. (Yes, I am using the air quotes to signify that.)
"as he comes gorgeously undone" << that was as good as a cookie. A cookie everyone I know would like a bite of. Yum. Thanks for sharing this with us and making this week a titch more bearable.
Author's Response: No, thank you for always being such a fan - means more than you know. And I agree...that's one cookie no amount of willpower could resist. And, hell..willpower was never my strength. Thanks, Lisa - you're the best!
With the cameras around, no secret can be kept for too long. What if things went a little differently after “Chair Model?” How will the office react when one of our favorite couples does something drastic?

Melt. That is all. I cannot WAIT to see those two married on the show.
“Oh god. I’m that girl, aren’t I? The stupid love interest that’s just a distraction until May sweeps.”
Jan gives Karen some perspective by a fountain in New York City last May.
Written to the prompt of "hardcore self-destruction."

Ooh, Karen & Jan do know something about hardcore self-destruction. Yowsa.
Like his denial and her stern looks would change his heart. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Yup, this is just what the little voice inside Karen's head probably sounded like.

OK, a little edgy here, but incredibly sexy to think she was thinking about Jim back then. And fantasies are just that -- thinking about something outside the boundaries.
Author's Response: Hey -- yeah, without being too maudlin about it, I wanted to show that Pam was thinking about Jim and that, given the circumstances of the game they're playing, she could finally act it out without worrying about actually cheating on Roy. Thanks for the review -- I'm glad it went over well. :D
She spills everything.

quite lovely, SS.
"You're messy. You're a klutz, you spill everything. And you leave the volume on the TV way too loud." All kinds of possibilities there...

Yay! Stablergirl is writing again. All is well. (Thank you for not using Mark as the Andre character.) Can't wait to see where you take us.
Author's Response: you're welcome! Didn't want to use anybody we already know, really. I thought I'd create new people around Jim and Pam. Let me know how you like it as it goes on.
Date: July 16, 2008 Title: Chapter 2: The Keel
Hmm... this is a new approach to how Pam & Jim finally get it together. "But he still owned his fear like a dog who had been swatted with a newspaper." I'm along for the ride. (Duh.)
AU. Jim's not the only one who runs away after Casino Night.

Very romantic. Jim & Pam definitely need to go to Italy for the honeymoon ;o)
What if Pam had a different response during the Merger to Jim's overture in the parking lot?
Jim: Oh, nothing. I just feel bad. I feel like things were a little weird today... or something.

Oh, TLK, if only. I love how with a bit of artful rearranging this scene plays out entirely differently. *happy sigh*
Author's Response:
I know, if only. "If only" multiplied by all the times it should have been different (and would have in real life). I like this way. :)
Thanks for reading and reviewing, lisahoo! :)

Hooray for more Jam kisses. Those are always good ;o) This was a sweet little imagined scene, BT.
Author's Response: Thank you! I agree with more JAM kisses; after \"Job Fair,\" I will settle for no less than one makeout session every episode. ;)

(Sorry if you were expecting something more coherent.)
Set after season 2. More Jim/Pam than it sounds, pinky swear.

Ha! Can Jim say 'Yes! any quicker?
P.S. Go Pam, you Braveheart.
Author's Response: I think it\'s impossible for Jim to respond any faster. Haha, I totally have an image of Pam in full Scottish gear yelling about taking her freedom...awesome.

Yay! FDF! I got a little butterfly in my stomach with this. Love how you've painted the tension, here.
Please, do amuse me while we wait for 9/25.
Author's Response: The timing of this, at least, was insipired by the FDF thread over on the boards. But I\'m sure you\'ve seen that already, right? Glad you liked it. More to come, of course.
Date: July 18, 2008 Title: Chapter 2: Friday
sloppy charm -- that is a great way to describe Jim. And Pam taking advantage of him is part adorable, part sexy as hell.
Author's Response: I came up with that about 10 minutes before I posted the thing. I think Pam takes advantage of him in his weakened state because she\'s a big ol\' chicken, coal-walk aside, but, yeah - it is pretty darn cute of her.
Date: July 19, 2008 Title: Chapter 3: Saturday
Note to Talkative: hydrate.
Note to Pam: ditto. (And I bet Jim's hangover is even worse, plus he has Karen to deal with. FAIL.)
Author's Response: Oh, all hydrated. I was drinking an Emergen-C as I posted that yesterday. That stuff is an f-ing miracle drug. Yeah, I really don\'t envy Jim getting yelled at with a crushing headache, but that\'s karma for you.
Date: July 20, 2008 Title: Chapter 4: Sunday
OK, I might have to hate Pam if she can wear that swim suit and still eat nachos. Well, that and the smooching Jim are making me just a teensy bit jealous. OK, a lot jealous. Who can blame me?
Author's Response: She\'s burning off a lot of calories by swimming and being deep in smit with Jim. Best diet plan ever.
Date: July 21, 2008 Title: Chapter 5: Monday
Hmm... if Pam can go that long without touching Jim, then maybe she is sublimating some sort of urges. Get on that, will you?
Author's Response: Oh, undoubtedly. But we already know that she prefers not to act on her feelings for Jim at work, right? So, yeah... and I think she\'d clock me if I got on that. Or wait - what do you mean? ;-D
Date: July 22, 2008 Title: Chapter 6: Tuesday
Eating is a very social thing. It's ok. So is kissing. (Hooray for kissing).
Author's Response: It\'s like that commercial for Red Stripe Beer - Hoo-ray kissing! I\'ve been thinking about it, and I\'m pretty sure I\'m leaning on the eating so heavily because, when I started dating he who would become my husband, I gained about 15 pounds in short order. Write what you know, I guess.
Date: July 23, 2008 Title: Chapter 7: Wednesday
OMG, this was painfully good. Like the show. Whee, Jim & Karen have broken up confetti! Hooray! (Zip a dee doo dah!)
Author's Response: C\'mon, didn\'t you want to throw some confetti at the end of S3, too? :)
Date: July 24, 2008 Title: Chapter 8: Thursday (Again)
Oh, an excuse to read Week's End again! Woot!
Love the tone of their semi-naughty phone call ;o)
Author's Response: Much like Jim and Pam, I was \"best friends\" with my husband for some time before our relationship took a turn for the romantic. I had about a dozen phone calls very much like the one I describe here. Brutal and terribly exciting at the same time.
This will be a series of self-contained chapters (oneshots) exploring various "what ifs" pertaining to episodes spanning seasons one through three. Each chapter will examine how things would've gone differently if either Jim or Pam had responded to a given situation the way that (most) fans had wanted or almost expected them to.
For example, the first chapter focuses on how things would've happened differently if Jim had confessed during those twenty-seven seconds of silence on the booze cruise when we were all holding our breath and hoping he would.
Among the other chapters I have mapped out: What if all the reminders of Jim in "Gay Witch Hunt" had provoked not a small, sad smile from Pam at the end of the episode, but rather, had motivated her to take action -- drive to Stamford to see him for the first time in four months? Or what if Jim had responded to Pam's text in "Diwali" via a post-Jagermeister phone call? What if Jim had walked in on Pam crying at the end of "Back From Vacation"? (...You get the idea.)
Again, though, each chapter will be confined to an episode, so it will essentially be a series of oneshots that are unrelated to each other.

Oh, girl7 -- you are going to torture us with all the 'if only's aren't you? Or maybe heal them. Guh.
This is the very essence of why Pam belongs with Jim & not Roy: Or what it means that Jim's always here when Roy should be, but never is.
I'm glad you are making good use of your summer vacation. ;o)
Summer pre-S5. Jim's in Scranton - Pam's in New York. Just little a set of vignettes - week by week until they're together again.

Bwah! I love that Pam still calls him Marky Mark. So do I. Poor guy, Oscar nomination and everything, but we'll still think of him doing white-boy rap in his boxer-briefs.
Love this little interchange:
"...I don't know who I'm supposed to be here."
You're not supposed to be anyone - you're just supposed to be you."
"I know that. And you're right. It's just I'm having trouble finding me lately."
When I was in a LDR with HooHusband I used to make him leave t-shirts for me after our weekends together. So sweet.
Author's Response:
I know!!! I feel bad for him - but not bad enough not to call him that. :)
Glad you liked it. Thanks so much for the review. :)
Date: July 24, 2008 Title: Chapter 2: July
xoxoxo, you can even make a week with no Jim very entertaining. I cannot wait to see what happens with Michael-Jan-Holly. (Not so much Jan.)
Heck, I even loved the fight about Roy -- especially the continuity about Roy's sister finally having a baby -- I guess that Chinese adoption never came through, huh.
Author's Response:
It was tough but I'm glad you liked it. I'm in the same camp as you. Jan needs to go on a semi-permanent vacation as far as I'm concerned.
And thank you for picking up on the thing about Roy's sister. When I imagined that 'fight' in my head it's the first reason I thought of for Roy's phone call.
Anyway - thank you. :)
