Another great story NLM! I love revisiting Pam's Charlie Chaplin (Ha! Charlie Hitler!) --- it reminds me of what a chameleon Jenna Fischer is. Her different incarnations of Pam alone is pretty amazing, but Charlie Chaplin and Olive Oyl were quite fabulous too.

And bringing a Phantom of the Opera costume for Jim??!!!! Ohmygosh, I'm getting the shivers about masked encounters already! I'm hoping you have a self-imposed deadline of Halloween for the next two chapters. And times a-wasting My Dear NLM! God, I'm SO impatient! I apologize! I just LOVE your stories! :)

Ohmygosh, there is SO MUCH that is wonderful about this story. First, I LOVE that it is present-day because I get to visualize them living their happy, happy lives TODAY, just a half-a-country away. And the PB&J references? Ha! Candy for breakfast? Exactly what I was doing when I read this! And DC, you do lovely racy/hot stuff! And Mary Poppins!!!!! WOW! Blown away my dear!!! This review would have more, but I, too, have to get ready for work! Just wow!

Coley, I remember someone mentioning possibly writing a fiction and incorporating osteopenia(s), but I kind of didn't take it seriously. I obviously completely underestimated you! (Next time I WILL estimate you!)

Also, I kind of got drawn in by the trajectory of ever-helpful Jim was going to save the day by helping her meet her art deadline. So I was doubly-surprised when he did the opposite!

Some fics are so good that I become so completely immersed in them that my brain ceases to do anything but, uh, look around Pam's apartment, look at the bread on the counter, look at the fireplace and the back of Jim's head, with no room for 'oh, I should tell Coley how good this is in a review'. And then I get to the end of the fourth chapter and I don't want to extricate myself from this wonderful place that I go back to chapter I and read it all again . . . . and again . . . .

That much said, the only intelligent thing I can say right now is that I really like Jim's explanation of why he didn't respond to her text on Diwali night. It makes the most sense of everything I've seen on the subject.

Okay, I'm sitting in the corner of Pam's apartment, in the dark, waiting for the action to resume. That sounds a little stalkery, but that's where I am. This is GREAT, Coley!

Ohmygosh, this is so, so delicious. I don't remember reading another fic that walks through this territory, which is tragic because it is probably only second to Casino Night in emotional wallop. Beautifully done.

My hubby and I were high school sweethearts. While we were in college, we only saw each other on weekends, and I remember that we always used to fight when it was close to time for him to leave. And that was without kids and running a home and all those responsibilities. So this all makes a lot of sense. And of course, added to their stress was the fact that Jim failed to include her in the decision-making.

It was so wonderful to walk through this reconnection with them, with all your gorgeous added touches. Wow! Love it Kuri!

I'm glad you're enjoying this. Season 2-4 are very popular around here, but I found myself really loving season 9. So real, and so relatable. And Paper Airplanes is just perfect!

I love the fact that the issues here are more or less the same than those in season 2. Pam wanting to stick with what's familiar, and Jim trying to make decisions for the both of them (Casino Night much?). And then Pam finally gets around moving out of Scranton, because she just needed some time to process it all. 

Thanks for sharing that story with your husband. I'm glad you made it! During the first moths of my relationship with mine we were living in different continents and that was something we had to work on every day.

That's the sort of reality I love about the office. It's not just happy endings, because, in real life, those alternate with trouble and everyday problems. The only thing I have an issue here is that Brian guy. A little bit lazy, because it never felt as a threat. Maybe he had a crush on Pam, maybe he didn't, but she seems completely oblivious. So, there. The real threat was inside the Jim-Pam situation, and that's enough.

You know --- that jello would have been a mess on Michael's desk by the next MORNING, much less after the weekend! I've thought about that more times than I'd like to admit.
