Goodness, each chapter is better than the last.  Just everything Jim and Pam are here, sweet and sexy and hilarious. You've got a real knack for meshing all of those into just the right recipe. Yay, you!

I think this is absolutely my favorite chapter.  To know what we know while reading it made it just that much special.  What I think is really interesting is that I can SEE them making the expressions they made in Company Picnic when they found out -- based on this little vignette of yours. Their faces could have absolutely been in response to having JUST discussed it. 

One of my favorite moments is when he's so close all she can see is green. 

This is quite, quite good.

I don't know what just happened but I found myself laughing uncontrollably at all the Angela stuff.  It just seemed like you had set up such a beautiful, calm moment and then Angela pipes in with the "out of wedlock" comment - brilliant timing there. So, so funny.  Then Michael's new nickname for her...hilarious. 

Oh boy. That was beautiful. To say more than would ruin it, but to say less would not be worthy of such an awesome piece. Suffice it to say, I loved every word of this.

Oh, somebody up there likes me...I've had the worst day, and this makes it SO much better. I've missed your writing. You have such an amazing knack for capturing precisely the right feeling in so little words. Little details, like Jim's ring glinting in the sun and the way you describe Pam's yearning to have more time - pause the day I think is the way you said it - in order for more moments with her baby...ugh, this is gorgeous and I adore that name - and Regina Spektor (a new love).  Gorgeous stuff here.

Regina Spektor is love, isn't she? And the name, confession, is my goddaughter's name. I love it a whole lot.

Oh Bashert...you don't write nearly often enough.  I adored this.  Everything from Pam's popsicle toes to how Jim is now the kid he hated in school - Dwight. lol. Funny how things, change? no. The irony is - Jim is sort of making it HOT to be that way! lol. ;-)  I loved this piece. Hope you post something again soon!

Oh Wow. I do so LOVE your writing. I could literally quote this entire piece, but instead I will choose just one section:

He wishes sometimes that he had never met her. He could still be out there, wondering if soul mates exist, wondering if there truly is one perfect person for everyone. He could be talking to his friends about how he just hasn't met the right person yet, about how he thinks that love at first sight is kind of for suckers, laughing about how he just can't commit to anyone. Instead he knows that there is one perfect person for him, he knows where she is, who she is, and he knows what kind of yogurt she likes and how she takes her tea. And he can't have her. And sometimes he hates her for that.  

God, that's perfect. Exactly how he must've been feeling. Like she'd taken away something that was sort of almost a "right" as a human being.  Like they'd been made for one another and she was going against the laws of nature or something!  UGH, I love this.  You are a superb writer!

How did I miss this?  It's quite delicious! Like Olive Garden bread sticks! lol.  I didn't think I wanted to read another first date story, but you somehow managed to make it a really fresh read.  Kudos!

What an interesting premise! I can't wait to see where you take this. There were several really well crafted lines, but this was my favorite moment: My pencil breaks in half when I bend it. I'm surprised, but it's not the first time my body is just as frustrated with the term "best friend" as I am. I toss the pieces into a drawer and take a deep breath.

That was perfect. I don't recall ever reading about THAT particular day. The day he left and how it all went down. Your voices for every character you tackled were ridiculously on target.  I ached for Jim and Pam...you took me RIGHT BACK to that moment with such precision.  

The fact that it was the yogurt lid that he turned down, and that we all know it's a yogurt lid that winds up saving them...Brilliance.
