Bio:

Three little facts about me:

1) I'm a work-from-home mom from Kyiv, Ukraine.

2) I'm super late to the party, but  I do my best to turn my excitement with the show into the content (hopefully, qualitative).

3) I care about Pam Beesly more than about any other fictional character in all the existent fandoms.

Okay, I'm dying to know what Jim might have seen in Pam's eyes. It's a great chapter!
I like the way each visitor appeared and acted, and I like the pangs of jealousy Pamela felt, watching the banter between Penny and Jim. And I melt at Pam and Jim's 'good night.' It's so tender and gentle and sweet and sincere and... I just love that scene.
I'm afraid, but I need to rant about Roy. I've always thought that he a little stupid, a little insensitive, a little brutal, but that's it; that he isn't bad, just horribly wrong for Pam. But your presentation of Roy (and statistic about the rate of how many women with cancer are left by their significant others) made me change my mind. He is awful. He isn't just insensitive but treated Pam like an object - something between an oven, a vacuum, and a sex toy. And the way he 'marked his territory,' made Pame make excuses for him and blame herself... all these things made me cringe. Not saying about him judging all by himself - I wonder if the situation was reversed, how soon he would jump on a girl locked with him?
And, to end on a bright side, - Penny's sabotage. Ah, I vividly imagined Pam's mortification and Jim's... okay, I have no idea what exactly he felt, but for sure, it was something nice.
Thank you for the story!

Author's Response: Yeah, Roy is definitely an ass in the fic. I guess I do that to make Pam's actions more justifiable. Thanks so much for the great review. I'm glad you're enjoying it so far.

Oh, it's an excellent start. I like how you built the series of events that lead to the quarantine and the mix of dread and hope that Jim feels (and, I suspect that Pam shares these feelings).
Thank you for writing! I'm very curious about what happens next :)

Author's Response: I'm glad this piqued your interest. Things start heating up a bit in the next chapter. Hope you check it out. Thanks for the great review.

Ah! I'm here with Jenna - I am also hoping for the update soon!
I have some mixed feelings, though - I dislike cheating, but at the same time, I wanted Pam and Jim to be together so badly!.. Roy, I beg you, make something disgusting that allows Pam to leave you and has her own 'happily ever after.'

Author's Response: Yeah, the thing about fanfiction and any kind of shows or movies, etc, we can suspend our own morals for the fantasy. I admit to writing lots of things I personally wouldn't do, lol. So, thanks for staying with me despite the dubious choices of the characters. Chapter 4 is up now!

Summary:

Pam calls Jim after seeing Karen and talking to Michael about Holly. She just has to let him know she's where she needs to be and that she loves him.

Thank you for the lovely story!
I've found many similarities between Jim/Pam ana Michael/Holly relationships, but I've never thought about that particular way Pam could relate to Michael. And now I wonder how I could miss that point and... wow.
It was an awesome journey, and I like how it ended :) Thank you once more!

Author's Response: I'm not sure if I realized the similarities the first time I watched that episode, either. It wasn't until I was marathoning it again that I caught it. I think it was a great moment in the show, though. Not only for Michael and Holly, but for Michael and Pam, and then if anything did happen off camera that was remotely close to what I wrote, Jim and Pam too lol. Thank you for the review, I'm glad you liked it!

Firstly, I'm so sorry about your aunt :( I hope she will be okay.
Secondly, this story is so sweet. And sad. And... I don't know, the way Pam tried to persuade herself that everything was fine (except, it wasn't) just heart-wrenching; especially, the 'her wedding er wedding was essentially being reduced to prom' line. I'm glad she finally called off the whole thing (and Roy's reaction - a final dot to that page of her life). And Jim finding her... awwww, just awwww. I'm melting behind the monitor because I'm a sucker for sweetness, tenderness, and understanding without the words in the relationships (especially their!). And I like that the story ended with an ellipsis... I'm a sucker for this too :)
Thirdly, thank you for your writing! My day started with your story, and thus it's going to be a good day!

Author's Response: Her wedding has been postponed until October so fingers crossed it can go ahead then. I hope she has a lot better luck this time around!

It’s so nice to hear that you liked it! And that you were satisfied with the ending (that was really a beginning).
Thank you so much!

There couldn't be enough 'fix-the-season-three-mess' stories, and this is going to be sooo good!
I like that even in the distance, Pam and Jim are in sync; Jim's glances at the unpleasant receptionist and Pam's count of occasions she allows herself to look at Jim's desk... it's so touching. As well as the whole aura of longing and hopelessness and despair. And it feels even more acutely when something rather comical happens - like Jim's exchange with Dwight (it was brilliant, btw). It feels like everything has to be okay, just like before, but it doesn't.
Oh, and Michael's thoughts about karaoke and his neighbor - it's so funny and so Michael!
Can't wait to see what happens next!

Author's Response: Thank you Dernhelm! Jim’s exchange with Dwight was what the whole idea to write this was based on, so I’m glad you liked it!

It’s nice to hear you found Michael’s thoughts on karaoke funny - I wondered if it was too silly to include, but decided why not...

Awww, I like soooo much that even apart, these two idiots react almost the same way! The fidgeting, the tea/coffee break, using the game metaphors... and Jim's reaction on the e-mails (as well as Pam's anticipation) are priceless.
And don't worry about Michael. I think he's in character. Especially when he borrowed Jim's moves or rewarded himself. It might be silly a little, but it's so sweet :)
Can't wait to see what Jim will answer and what will happen next!

Author's Response: Thanks Dernhelm!

I’m glad you think my Michael works!
I can’t wait to see what Jim will answer too - I haven’t quite written that yet...

God, I love the mutual awkwardness and all the hesitations and overthinking and everything in between! These interactions make me giddy and I'm craving for more!
Oh, and the line 'He’d given her time to process. A whole fifteen minutes,' made me laugh aloud. Yeah, Jim, you'd given her soooo much time. Well done, man, well done...

Author's Response: Thank you, Dernhelm!

I think that was my favorite line to write - it’s so true! He gave her no time at all...

Oh, Michael... Sweet, annoying, silly, and innocent Michael. I think it's not easy to save and show all these traits, and you did it beautifully! Seriously, when I started reading, I rooted for Pam and Jim and ended up feeling bad for Michael. All I could do is imagining his reaction when he sees who's Pam's 'plus one.'
And speaking of. Aaaaaaaa!!! It's fantastic! I'm a sucker for awkward flirting and baby steps, and their conversation was just perfect!
I'm ready to wait for the next chapter as long as necessary :)

Author's Response:

Thanks Dernhelm! I’m glad you saw all that in Michael, I feel like he’s mostly silly in this story, but I’m having a lot of fun with him... Hopefully you won’t have to wait too much longer for the next chapter!

Reviewer: Dernhelm Signed 1

It was worth every day of waiting because it's a wonder. I'm in awe of how you take the raw emotions and wrap them into the words. Every single nervous bounce, heartbeat, smile, brush of fingers... gah, I had an enormous stupid grin when I read the part before their meeting (because a few things could compare with agitated anticipation of something so long-awaited) and I literally covered with goosebumps when they finally interacted (and they didn't even kiss! but that hand-holding was so intimate and genuine that they shouldn't have kissed, honesty — just let them hold each other till the rest of their days).
And the party was so, so sweet! And Michael... so Michael, and I love him there. Also, have I told you that I adore the way you mix the canon events into something unique and awesome? Well, I'd like to repeat it :)
Thank you so much for that journey!

Author's Response:

Ahh, thank you so much Dernhelm! I’m so glad to hear you felt was worth the super long wait. It makes me so happy that you feel like I capture the emotion well. That’s what I was aiming for!

I'm in a weird mood right now, so I was literally crying over this story while reading it. It's so heartwarming beautiful, and the way Pam's perception changes from romantic to practical and back again... it's so believable and painful (the practical part; it's like 'the loss of the innocence' trope). Okay, I'm sobbing again, but it's okay; I'm happy she recognized the red color pretty quick. Thank you for this story!
Also, the color scheme Pam gave to Angela is amazingly accurate. I hope she would see more soft blue that gray radiated from her...

Author's Response: Aww, I’m sorry for making you cry! I love this review so much though!

I feel like over time there’s definitely a lot more blue than grey with Angela...

It was awesome. But painful. But so, so good!
And I like that it ended up with dot, dot, dot, and a tiny spark of hope and not with acceptance and resign. Or, at least, it's the way I feel it...

You're a cruel woman, Jenna. I'm okay with hurting Jim and Pam (I'm actually not, but not is the point), but doing it to this beautiful teal teapot it's... it's... gah! I'm a masochist a little, I suppose...
Aside from this - awwwww! I like Dwight's protectiveness and Michael's curiosity, and how Jim and Pam finally talk to each other (and the fact that Pam doesn't hate Karen).
Amazing story!
P.S. But I'm still not over the broken teapot 😭

Author's Response: I hated breaking the teapot! I kind of collect teapots & I would be beyond devastated if something happened to one of them - especially the ones that have sentimental value.

But, I needed something as the catalyst... I’m sorry for sacrificing the teapot!
Thank you as always! I love your reviews!

I’ve had a terrible migraine since yesterday evening, so I was sure that this morning would be terrible as well. And then I saw your update and reconsidered my previous opinion :)
Every single line of this chapter is precious, but there are three moments I'd like to highlight the most:
1) Katy. Oh, I love and disdain and pity her at the same time, because how can't you pity a girl who didn't get James Halpert? And Pam's response... ah! I love it when she shows her sass (and in the very, very well-mannered way!)
2) Troubles in the Halpert family. Okay, I'm here mostly for the JAM, but I really, really like that they can't just hide in their happy bubble for the rest of their days and that their (but mostly Jim's) actions have (and will have) consequences. You hinted about what kind of backlash they might receive, and I anticipate to witness it!
3) "I love you, James Halpert." I replicated that black and white fainting gif from Twitter here because this is my most natural reaction to this part. Just lovely!
Thank you so much!

Author's Response: I hate hear you had a migraine but I'm thrilled that this helped! Thank you!

And I found Larissa's little speech in Pam's defense endearing.

Thank you so much!

Author's Response: Thank YOU so much for reading and commenting! Julienne will indeed add an interesting twist to the story. ;)

Usually, I can definitely say how I feel after reading this or that story.
I can't say for sure now. I think I need some time to process everything that happened in this chapter.
You created the tension perfectly and located so many subtle hints that I'm sure I missed some. I love this word and its habitants (even the most unpleasant ones), I love that James and Pamela have not only the gladness of a happy marriage but also deal with the consequences of their actions. And I absolutely love that Pam insisted that her husband told her about his worries! Love it.
I anticipate the next chapter very much, but, I confess, this anticipation is mixed with dread. Some of your hints were too gruesome...
Anyway, thank you so much for your story!
P. S. *sarcasm mode on* 'bad porridge' yeah, right, that was the real source why that poor girl was unwell... *sarcasm mode off*

Author's Response: Thank you Dernhelm! Ah yes, bad porridge indeed...or perhaps not. ;)

Oh, and I squeaked from delight every time when I noticed all these little show references. My favourite, without doubts, the door tapping :)
Once again I'm crushed with cliffhanger, but wow... take all the time you need, but please, please, please, write more!

Oh, sorry, I got distracted :)
I'm happy that things became better between Pamela and elder Mrs. Halpert and that James took precautions about the men who watched them. And the birthday party was delightful to witness (as well as Pamela's presents...)
And oh! Consern about Julienne! You hinted for so long that the girl wasn't that simple as it might look, that I'm dying to know what exactly is the matter! Please, please, please, don't leave us hanging here for too long!
