This is getting better and better! I like how you waited till now to really have Jim break and be absolutely vulnerable to himself. While Pam's self awareness has been on point and angsty since the start, Jim's has been reluctant and building slowly- and I feel this head on with the idea of moving away from Pam might turn things in action (please?!?!?!!)
Love all the little moments too, especially the whole fish curry part. You have an amazing way with words! Kudos kudos cannot wait.

Tension is palpable!!!!
This was a good one, getting insights into the dynamics of the four freinds. The jim/karen equation is resounding of S3, which is very telling. I like you've focussed on how they both value the friendship more than anything. I feel that's the essence of thier relationship. Also loves the Pam/Mark talk!

First- thanks so much for such quick and promot updates. Really keeps the momentum!
And damn does this story have some crazy momentum- the impatience around Pam's past is growing (hope you get into details of it soon), I'm now wondering where her and Ryan will head (you wrote him pretty well), and ugh what is even Jim doing?!?! (The angle with his parents was a really good idea, adds even more depth to his relationship with Pam.
Basically this is getting more interesting and intriguing with every chapter!! Again, loved the little throwback to Jim's kiss on the cheek. In general, love the bits you keep adding here and there to give a sense of thier closeness and familiarity. The tension bounces off the screen!

Woahhhh. That was a good one. Lots of intrigue and mystery around Pam's part- now related to her reluctance with art. Sounds very interesting. You've got great stuff going on- like always, hooked!

Ughhhhh the so close yet to far energy is on point! I'm really liking the back and forth structure of this story. Very well strung together, like the cocktail mix detail.
And the S1&2 energy is there in this AU in the college bits where you can just feel how perfect they both are for each other but their own insecurities is keeping them apart.

I'm loving the angst and the build up! So much happening, so much history. All very promising. The Ryan angle you have hinted at also has me very intrigued.
These were two really great chapters. The college interaction was cute. And the party one was just so much S2 relate where these two are just so happy and easy with each other. Perfect amount of angst and fun. Really hooked!!

I realllyyy like this set-up. Have always wondered what an AU with pining Pam and a stuck Jim would be like. I really like the few very subtle ways in which pam/roy and jim/karen have been paralleled from S1&2. And the roommate + college context just makes it more interesting!

Both Jim/Iz and Pam/Mark conversations were really well written. I'm hoping for a reunion soon!!!
Jim just being drunk and calling Karen for Pam has my heart. Again, you've shown this amazing complexity of emotions where he is so blindsided with the idea of just protecting Pam that he doesn't even account for this feelings for her.

You write beautifully, the conflicted emotions flow off the words so effortlessly. S9 is a tough one, but this is a really good premise. I always felt that in trying to show the not-so-fairytale JAM, the writers kinda butchered thier individual characters arcs, ESP Pam's and all her growth since S3. Ooooh I love this premise! You have managed really well to keep the Jim/Pam banter and essence alive, and not make this uncomfortable or weird at all. The testing waters without the CN angst is a good direction. The Stamford deadline makes it all the more interesting. We never got to see the fooling around and dating JAM so should be fun!

Ooooooof ANGST at its BEST. It's super clever (and BRUTAL) how Casino Night is tied through this chapter. Jim not deciding on it but just being unable to not tell her how he feels. Pam's inner struggle to face this change from their apparent comfort zone - I like how you kept Pam's fear of change and confrontation here albeit in very different ways from canon. Very clever writing!!! Can't wait to see how it goes from here.
