Author's Response: Thank you. Considering how much effort I put into writing the start of the Roy/Pam relationship I wanted to put similar effort to the end of the relationship. Also a lot of fics will skim over the breakup. I didn't want to do that. As for the letter...you'll soon find out.

Author's Response: Thanks. As much as I would have liked them to find out earlier, I wanted them to be together before they found out. Which mean all the heartache with the close calls and whatnot. Waiting till they're truly together makes it sweeter in my opinion. Glad you liked the whiskey tasting set-up. Jim's reveal will be a lot of fun I promise you that.

Poor Jim, you can really feel the anguish that he’s going through, you’ve done a really good job of capturing that. And likewise when he’s in charge, you’ve made him sound so authoritative.
Great callback with Ryan and the closet there.
And Dwight getting the role he always wanted. Again, nice callback there. If only he had a karate belt tied around his uniform in their thoughts.

Author's Response: This was a low point in the war for the 8th Air Force for sure. Especially the fighter pilots who wanted to do more, but couldn't. Regardless of those feelings, this Jim knows it's important to remain focused in combat and on the ground. Glad you liked that part.

Author's Response: I've said it many times, Pam is a very kind soul and she likes to help people when and where she can. Glad you liked those parts of her helping Erin out. I knew I wanted to steal the scene on the bus from ALOTO where Jimmy explains why he's not in the army, but with Michael this time around. I figure he tried to enlist but the army took one look at him and stamped 4F (unfit for service) about as quickly as they could. It's great fun to advance the taking Danny down plot too. Glad you liked it. Thanks for the review and for being so patient with me.

Really liked this chapter, so great to have them all spending so much time together. The game seemed a lot of fun. I really liked how you turned the ‘put your dukes up’ bit into a fun little rivalry for them.

This chapter was a lot of fun, but definitely the highlight was Dwight and Gareth trying to out rank each other. Nice surprise Tom turning up!
