Speculation for S3 and a whole lotta wishful thinking. Pam's trying to be gracious about Jim's relationship with Karen - but she's had enough - and tells (shows) him so.

"Yesterday - with Andy. You wanted to know how to get him, I said send him a flyer announcing a cappella auditions over at the Community Center and you said it was too obvious. Not ten minutes later, she said the same thing and all of the sudden you're printing out copies on fucking Plasma Pink." As she says the words she can't believe she's even saying anything, let alone cursing at him. She snatches the fax confirmation and storms back to her desk. "Do I not speak English anymore? Do they speak another language in Connecticut that I'm not aware of?"
Geeze, how dare he? LOL I'd be mad as hell too.
It was the best way I could think of to really get her angry. He's said before he shouldn't be "pranking"people anymore - but to continue to do so and dismiss her ideas???? You know that would kill her.

This is along the same lines as my other Away From the Cameras, in the sense that I'm exploring scenes that might have happened off-camera (or simply those that we didn't get to see).
A few things: First, I'm working on the assumption that a lot of what I wrote in the AFtC for season II stands (though I likely won't reference any of it here), up until Casino Night. (Clearly I was quite off about what happened after the kiss...heh.)
Second, there will be flashbacks filling in the blanks of what happened immediately after CN (how long did Jim work? how did he and Pam ultimately leave things? how did she end things with Roy? how did Jim find out about her cancelling the wedding?); the flashbacks will happen largely in the chapters pre-merger (to keep things interesting for Jim/Pam fans during their physical separation).

HAHAHA Okay, so I just found this story and I'm reading from start to finish and I just had to pause and tell you that right now, literally, I have tears in my eyes. This has got to be one of THE funniest fics I have ever read. So far, the Pam-undies thing and the part where Kelly sends the email about Karen and Toby going at it and Meredith rushing back to see has been my absolute favotites. Whatever the case, I'm in stitches and I can't breathe.

I gotta say I almost "squeed" aloud when I saw you updated, seriously. Stopped everything else I was doing just to read your update. Now I'm itching to know what Jim is up to. Maybe packing all Karen's things for her and getting her on her merry little way? Hm..
Also, not meaning to gush (but here goes), you have one of THE most amazing imaginations and sense of humor (that I can identify with) that I've seen since I've started writing/reading fanfiction. I took time this morning (pretty much spent most of my morning/afternoon) to read the rest of your stories. You're an amazing writer. Pam's well aware of Michael's inability to keep a secret...I think he'll be spilling soon...that's me just guessing though. It's not like I know what's going to happen next... No one tells me anything.
I imagine that Michael chose himself to play Mr.Big. I'm also assuming he cast Pam, Angela, and maybe Kelly, as three of the main characters. Pam as Carrie Bradshaw seems obvious. Angela...hmm...Sam? Wouldn't that be interesting...but no...he would put her as Charlotte, of course. Too bad Ryan wasn't working there the first time Pam's Mom visited. I think Ryan as Sam would have been hysterical. Although he's such a tease!!! Hard to imagine who Michael would have picked... Kelly as Miranda? Jan as Samantha? Really, this is something we need to find out. Hopefully someone will write a fic explaining it all. Because as you said... "horrible but totally something" and I agree with that statement 100%.
Are you serious about the goose? I thought that was an urban legend like swans breaking your arm!! Well, now Dwight has to completely support the goose guard theory! I am such a city girl. I know nothing!
I am as serious as a person can be when talking about guard geese. I saw this thing attack another friends truck. I thought maybe this goose was demented but my friend confirmed to me that all geese are pretty aggressive. I'm from the country (think a small hick town in Mississippi) so I could tell you some stories you probably wouldn't believe.
Also, something else you probably won't believe... I've never seen Sex and the City. Not one episode.
I used to wonder if Angela has always been so frigid, but I think the whole Prom thing answered that for me. I bet she was on the Prom planning committee and cried when she learned someone had spiked the punch.
The whole thing with Michael is hilarious. I can imagine him riding around Scranton with super bass rattling house windows, then he'd get out and do his best Prison Mike.
Karen is really starting to annoy me. It's like she waits for an opportunity to throw something about Jim in Pam's face. I can't wait until Pam snaps, that should be fun.
I think Angela was a very tense child. I'd like to hear more about that relationship with her sister.... I bet they were competitive.

Poor Karen. She's playing a losing game. There's no way that I can see her winning on the show. I like that on the show she does fun things with Pam but I've noticed there's always an undercurrent of meanness. Like Benihana Christmas - it was get back at Angela. Ben Franklin - ragging down the Ben impersonator. Those are the two scenes where she seems most comfortable in Scranton and in both of them...not so nice. She's a complex character. I wish we knew more about her.

Everyone's favorite orphan girl comes to Avonlea! Pam, Jim and Roy are Anne, Gil and...Roy. Now complete.I absolutely adore this. I love Anne of Green Gables. I actually own the movie and Anne of Avonle (Avonlea, how do you spell that?) and even though I don't watch them often, I still know it by heart.
I only wish you'd kept them with their real last names like you did with Bob and Phyllis (mainly Bob.) Especially Dwight. Though who could imagine a Kelly Kapur running around Avonle(?) LOL.
Either way, it's still brilliant. My only hope is that Pam doesn't go the way Anne did and make Jim wait as long as Anne did Gilbert. That (to me) was crazy. Did they ever get together. Oh man! I can't remember.
Next on my agenda: watch the movies again. LOL. I'm adding this to my favs, I can't wait to see more!! (Well I can, but I may not be overly happy about it. lol)
