I think the best way to describe these is "haunting."  They made me sad, in a good way.

This is such a cool conceit and makes so much sense. (particularly after the third chapter) I can't wait to see if any other Office peeps are writing reviews.  And I seriously wish I had come up with the SN Jims_Office_Chair. 

Author's Response: That's not totally my creation. In my main fandom....the Eagles....a lot of girls comment on how they'd like to be Don Henley's drum stool....don't ask :) Thanks for the positive comments.

I just really love this story.  The way you write Pam and Jim, you really make their emotions so palpable. This line in particular I just love:

"She lay down on the bed in the fetal position and closed her eyes, the lump generating a dull ache in her skull, and his kisses generating a dull ache in her stomach."

On a different note, every time I read this story, I get Daughters by John Mayer stuck in my head all. day. long.

It seems to me that this is how their relationship should end.  There doesn't need to be a huge fight in front of the whole office.  Their break up should be understated. I like how you wrote both of them, and I like that Karen left with some dignity.  Now, with any luck is the way it will go. :)

Author's Response: So you don't think Karen and Pam having a biting, screaming catfight in the break room over Jim would be dignified? Just kidding! No, I think we probably won't see much on the show so maybe this is how it plays out. We'll probably get a Jim TH "Yeah, so Karen and I were going out. And now we're not. Riveting..."
