Pam wandering around her appartment wrapped up in white sheets seems straight out of the movies (see A. Jolie in the beginning of Mr. & Mrs. Smith). And every time I see it, I think it seems a bit goofy. Why not grab a robe, a towel, a t-shirt? Instead you're going to completely disassemble your nicely made bed? As for the L-shaped sheet, (exhibit Dirty Dancing) you'll notice that frequently when a man and woman are in bed together, she will have her chest covered, he will have his waist covered. Alas, the movie epidemic of L-shaped sheets. I didn't mean to be confusing, I just wanted to tease you a little because I think the sheet was a little movie cliche-ish. Not unlike sex-kitteny feathered high-heel slippers. I did like your story. Sorry I was confusing.
9 A loosely draped white sheet? Seriously! Presumably this is one of those clever L-shaped movie sheets. Seriously, this is one pair of pink feathery high-heeled slippers away from complete cliche. I LOVE it. I sympathize with your lack of KaPam love however there is plenty of smut love out there. That is where you'll find success. You pulled off the tension and the smut quite well. Excellent!

10 Sex phobia, thank God! I was reading that thinking 'she's a man, she's a man, she's a man' so the sex phobia was a bit of a relief. Very nice and I can't wait for the continuation.
Author's Response: lol!! I hadn't even thought of the idea of Karen really being as man! When I was first planning out this story at the MTT boards, someone suggested the idea that Karen had some psychological problem and she doesn't like sex (which I've heard of), and I was thinking of using that idea, and then I thought this one made much more sense for Karen's character, with their trust issues, and Karen making Jim endure 5 nights of talks, etc.

Dinner, and what happened later. Post-Season 3.9 I'm with you on the dinner thing. Really why can't they go DO something. Why not go bowling, watch a stock car race, do some mini-golf, play skee-ball, see a peep show; anything other than staring at each other awkwardly over dinner. Maybe something competitive, that could be tense. Great start! Love the Pam and Kelly intro.
10 I want to run outside and scream. This was so good. The taxi, hot, stairwell, very hot. On this trend, I can't possibly imagine I'll be disappointed by the apartment. I don't know why but I really liked the motion sensing lights. This sounds dorky but I thought they helped impart the passage of time without actually discussing the time.

Jim and Pam surrender to silence after "The Job." A virtual smut-angst festival!
This is smut. Serious, hard-core, unapologetic, squirm in your seat, not-safe-for-work, wild and unhinihibited smut, punctuated by merciless and heart-wrenching angst. In a couple of chapters, there will be smutty angst, and in others, angsty smut. There's even a couple of chapters with no smut at all and some fluff-happy-funny mixed in! But it all ends with a happy bang! Haw. You were warned.
10 If you are a review slut, I'm a Not A Word... slut. The last couple of chapters have been, very hot. Why is Pam holding out on him? Between that and the ladder incident, she's taken on kinda a cruel vibe. I have complete faith that she'll redeem herself though, right?
Author's Response: Because she is freaking out. Sex has an amzing way of obscuring fundamental issues in a relationship, and those two got nothing but. So I thought I would extend it just enough to show that smut is not an end unto itself! No worries about redemption, though. It'll end...wonderfully.

10 What a cute little slice of life. Well written, of course. I liked how Jim didn't feel like he could escape from Karen. I've often thought I could totally see JAM doing really mundane things like grocery shopping, watching tv, cleaning house or whatever and it would still be cute. I'm excited to see where you will take this.

This is an idea I've had for a long time. It is inspired by the very end of the Six Feet Under series finale (hence the title), and it seems that the 55 word style would be perfect for it. Each chapter will focus on a different Office character. 20 chapters are planned.

Does it make me a bad person that I started reading this once it became MA? I'm glad I did. I like Karen here although it does seem like she's using Andy. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. I guess it kinda seems like she is doing to Andy, what Jim did to her. Although, in her defense, I doubt Andy cares one way or another. I'm interested to see where this is going.
Author's Response: I see it more as her giving it to a man who wants and deserves it after trying to force it on a guy who only pretended to. Also, she's human anc vulnerable and Andy inadvertently charmed her pants off by caring about her for real. I'm boxed in by the fact that on the show Andy's still around and so they obviously didn't ride off into the sunset together, but I'd rather not think about that ;) Thanks a lot for commenting!

10 I'm sorry, are you saying mojitos are a girly drink? Um if I remember correctly, James Bond ordered a mojito when he was in Cuba, right before Halle Berry emerged from the ocean all shiny and with a knife. You can't get more manly than James Bond. Next thing you know guys won't be able to drink cosmos, Nancy Drews (what up 30 Rock!), or even pina coladas without some unseemly accusation. Then again, they are in Scranton, not Cuba.
