Jim isn't inviting Pam to the Christmas Eve party he and Karen are holding. Three ghosts visit him the night before the big party and try to bring him to his senses. Will he listen to them, or will he convince himself that it is all a figment of his imagination and leave things the way they are?

Pam calls off her wedding. Roy loses it. Jim's in Stamford, but not for long.
A hospital stay and the recovery afterward, almost entirely from Jim's POV. Earnest and fluffy and sweet, with a side of steam for dessert. Tons of inner monologue, lots of dialogue, dramatic with plenty of humor sprinkled throughout.

This is a holiday inspired fic based on Season Two's Christmas Party. A look into what inspired Jim to get the teapot, and why Pam swapped Dwight for it. From there, it is an AU look at what happens when Pam realizes that Jim took back the infamous Christmas Card and why she's desperate to find out what Jim wrote.This is the last of my "near miss" rewrites for season three episodes.
