A bit steamy and a bit sweary at points.
Part of the 2025 Holiday Fic Challenge. This is set around season 5, pre- marriage and babies. Assume this is an alternative reality to Moroccan Christmas.
Bizarrely my received requests were similar to last years’, but I’ve had a bash at doing something different for this year. Apologies if you read my story from last year and I’ve inadvertently recycled any of it (I’ve purposely not re-read it in preparation to keep this year’s “fresh”.)
Also apologies that some of my centred dividers didn't, erm, centre, despite trying to correct them with HMTL. I've tried to use Americanisms wherever possible, but you will see British English spellings for the most part and I will not apologise for that.
Pam's project to build her confidence with digital art becomes a way for her to express herself anonymously - until she decides its time to let someone in. “Karen, I don’t even have his phone number. It’s been four years since we last saw each other. When we broke up.” Pam emphasizes this last part as if Karen needs the reminder of her best friend’s personal history. “It’s not like… Look, I’m not going to fall in love with him again.” "What do you want to be for Halloween?" "Yours."
There's always a sequel, guys. Even if it takes six years.
Not Time Travel but Time Travel adjacent.
A kind of fantasy in reverse – Pam wakes up to find herself in an alternate life without Jim, her children and much of the self-worth she found being in love with and by him. Could she find it again with Jim gone from Dunder Mifflin and without him could she break free from Roy to get back to her other life?
