“That is beet pie.”

“The more important question is what is in the second box?”
“There’s a second box?”
“Yes. And it sort of smells.”

“Do you think he wrapped up Angela’s dead cat?”
“I would hope that she buried it seeing as it died like two years ago.”
“Okay, well I suppose you have a point. So that still doesn’t explain what’s the in the second box.”
“I’m sure something beetasatic.”
“Beets are good for fertility. Dwight told me before the ceremony. He said if we intended to procreate, you should include more beets in your diet.”
“I’m not eating that beet pie.”
“Oh come on, Pam, you know you want to try it.”
“I really don’t.”
“Sure you do.”
“I really don’t.”
“But it’s so red and squishy.”
“Exactly.”
“Well, fine.”
“Don’t shake the box! We don’t know what’s inside.”
“You’re no fun.”
“You know what else is no fun? Angela’s gift. I peeked.”

“Guess.”
“A cat needlepoint?”
“Wrong.”

“Well that was easy. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it.”
“Oh, here comes your mother.”
“She looks annoyed.”
“Probably because we’ve been hiding out here by the gifts.”
“I didn’t think anyone would miss us.”

“That is an excellent point.”
“I guess we should go back in.”
