Author's Response: Hee, thanks so much, I'm glad that you enjoyed it!  I have to admit, the Usher reference was my favorite part to write.  I'm such a Kandy shipper that I just couldn't resist throwing that in there, and they are definitely destined to be together.  I honestly don't know if I had it in my mind that it was truly his first choice or if he had heard Kelly say it once, but I figured either way was good!  Thanks again for the review, I really appreciate it!

Oh, my God, this is so insane but perfect. I love your Michael - how he's taking SO long to figure out what's going on - and his reaction to the boobs and his lack of penis - hee! And I love that Pam appears to be working this in the way of greater good - fixing Michael's life by standing up to Jan, no hesitation.

The big debate I'm going through right now is whether Michael ever, even once, wonders what happened to his body. Hmmm... I just don't know. Would he care?

Can I say how much I love Pam in this story. She keeps trying to do the right thing and it's like a living hell. Every line I write for her is pretty much, "Oh my god. No. This can not be happening." Every line for Michael is like "This is the most AWESOME thing EVER!" Poor, poor Pam.

This is such a twisty concept - I find myself occasionally getting confused by what they've seen and what they know and what other people know and what they're pretending not to know, but it's so, so good. I'm getting twitchy from all the lies, though, and hope one of them slips up soon! But for the time being it's nice seeing them being themselves with each other in that time in the way they couldn't be on the show to each other's faces.

Ah, now they're really getting somewhere! If only they can really take to heart what the other person says as a perspective on what JIM or PAM "might" be thinking. I was also finding it pretty unbelievable that Karen wouldn't know about Pam and Jim in a world where *everyone* knows about Pam and Jim, but you did a good job explaining in this chapter how Karen was being protected from fans' inside info - and it's perfectly reasonable that she wouldn't have paid any attention to the show prior to it becoming a part of her life.

What a fun story! I'm a little disappointed in Pam for sticking it out with Roy even with knowing what he'd done, but it just shows how much she's grown and changed as a person since then! I loved the honesty in their reunion. And I love the conclusion with Dwight having to deal with being the true culprit, hee! :D

Author's Response: That's weird, I thought I responded to this.... Yeah, Fancy New Beesly would NOT be having any of that, you can believe it! She is different now... one of the best, if not THE best, character development arcs for a season that I've ever seen. I'm glad you liked! And Dwight? Yeah, I got a kick out of that, too. This was so, so good. They're both so in character, just as different from each other as they are on the show, but you manage to make a real connection there. I love the whole paragraph that includes Pam realizing, "Underneath that groomed exterior and façade of peppiness she is desperate for love and acceptance". And I love Kelly as the advice guru. And the ending is fantastic, and a great place to conclude. You don't have to take it to the end of the season, you don't have to make it about Pam's ending with Jim, because it's just about her, finding herself and becoming the person she was meant to be.

Thank you so much! I find writing Kelly a huge challenge, so I'm glad you think so.

The original request for this, I believe, asked for season 3 and 4, but I sort of felt Pam didn't need a coach anymore, once she had made her confession in Beach Games. It was time to get out there on her own, and as a result, this just ended naturally once I reached that place in the timeline.

Author's Response: Yes, I was a little worried about making Michael too smart there, but I think showing that it was pretty much Pam's idea mitigates that some. Plus, he has flashes of competence anyway. The Jim and Dwight storyline will hopefully be a lot of fun, because I think it will show a genuine side of Jim, that we might not see too much.
