She smoothes her hand along his shoulder sleepily, and he reaches up to hold onto it, wrapping his hand around hers like they're dancing. She falls asleep thinking about how his neck smells, and how he had blushed all over when she had undone his belt, and how the whole time he was inside her, he hadn't closed his eyes once. How he just kept watching her face.
Those are quite possibly my favorite lines in any fanfic ever. Lovely, lovely job.
Pam's letter is seriously making me tear up. This chapter is so much love.
Role Reversal Challenge: It's May 2006. Jim's wedding is approaching and a lovelorn Pam can't take much more. Starts during Casino Night (or an AU version of it).
I'm *in love* with this story. Please update before I have a heart attack and die from withdrawal. You don't want to be responsible for my death, do you? ;)
"It seems odd, in the ironic, slap-in-the-face kind of way that since her incident, it’s been easier to let him go."
Something bad happens to Pam. Very Dark.
And then it hits her. She doesn’t know how to talk to him anymore. Jim was always her best friend, the one who she told her deepest secrets to, the one who listened and made her feel like she actually had something to say. The words used to just roll off of her tongue and he took in everything she said. He made her feel like she had a life worth living for.
But now, she feels like she’s wasting his life. She worries that she going to take away his time and energy, and then he’ll resent her more than he had before this whole mess started. He deserves someone better, someone – anyone – who isn’t her. Someone who’s worth the fight, who makes him feel needed, not unwanted.
But she does want him. . .she just doesn’t know how to tell him.
That’s when she notices the wetness on her cheeks and she realizes that she’s been crying.
This made me cry, because I'm going through a very similar situation. Thank you for putting into words what I couldn't express myself.
In the safety and comfort of the darkness, she let herself cry. There was no where to go but up from now on, no matter what happened. She could even stop blaming herself if nothing changed between them. And maybe someday, with or without him, all the hurting would stop as well.
This broke my heart because I'm going through a similar experience. :'( Thank you for such a beautiful story.
Author's Response: Sorry you are having such a hard time. :( Thanks for the review though - I really appreciate it!
This has just become my new all-time favorite JAM fic. xoxoxo
Author's Response: How sweet, PB!! Sorry it took so long for me to respond to this, but it really is such a kick to see a review for this story because it was so much fun to write these lttle vignettes. I'm so glad you liked it and favorite? Wow, that's saying something!! Thanks so much for telling me!!
This is now my all-time favorite story. Thank you so much for writing it. :)
Post-Benihana Christmas fic!
Remember when Jim and Pam convinced Dwight that a CIA helicopter would pick him up on the roof? Well, neither of them could resist showing up that night to see the prank to it's conclusion.
Yay, you're back!! I can't wait for the next chapter. :D
I agree with everything toomeyism said. :)
Author's Response: I'm so sorry this is late, but thanks! :)
You just inspired me to write my own letter to the Jim in my life. Thank you. :)
Author's Response: Wow, really? That may be the best compliment I have ever received - and I'm very proud of you because that takes courage. Hoping the best for you and your Jim, PB. :-)
What if Jim never went to Stamford? What if Pam started making life changes a little sooner?
An AU look at season 3.

I've missed this story!! :) That chapter was *amazing.*
Author's Response: Thanks so much, pam_beesly! Man, I've been spending a lot of time and effort on this thing, so I'm really glad you liked it. Thanks a lot for the review. :)
You are so my favorite person today. This was amazing.
I loved this *so much.* Especially the part about his heart having an expiration date and the fact that she didn't let go of his hands until he pulled away. Beautiful.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for reading and reviewing. I\'m glad you pointed at those bits because they\'re my favourite parts of this story. Thanks again :)
Aw, this made my day! Very cute. :)
:O MORE PLEASE!!
Personally, I'm glad you didn't kill off Roy. I think that would have been an easy "out," so I appreciate you keeping him alive. I love how you made us all think he was dead, though. ;)
Anyway, I really enjoy the way you're building Jim and Pam's relationship.
She touches her lips with the pads of her fingers. Eyes still on his, she steps toward the door that is still ajar, puts her hand on the knob.
And she pulls it all the way shut.
That's seriously awesome. The majority of fic writers would have had her leave, so I love that you made her stay. I look forward to reading more. :)
I hate Valentine's Day (I'm single, obviously, lol), but this made me smile. :)
Author's Response: Hee. I don't go all out for Valentine's Day, myself (and I've been happily married for a decade). I'm very happy it made you smile, though. Thanks so much!
Um, I think I'm in love with you.
Author's Response: Wow thank you lol. I do what I can.
:O More, please!!
Author's Response: Yes ma'am - chapter 2 is up! Thanks for reviewing, dear! :)
Aw, that was lovely. :)
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. -K
There’s stumbling around each other in the morning, trying to find the hairdryer and his tie and the cup of coffee she knew she put down somewhere, but dropping everything in a sudden flurry of lips on skin and clothing on hardwood because being on time for work could never be worth missing this.
I love that line. :) I found the wording/phrasing of the second sentence a little confusing, but, overall, this is a beautiful fic.
Jim wasn't too thrilled about tonight. Pam wasn't too happy either. Finale spoiler if you haven't watched it.
This almost cheered me up. *Almost.* ;) Great job. Definitely the best post-finale fic I've read.
I have a soft spot for AU stories, and this one looks like it's going to be a keeper. I can't wait to see where you take it. :)
Author's Response: I love AU stories too! I\'m really enjoying writing this one, and I hope you\'ll like the rest of the story! Thanks for reading and reviewing!
I'm so excited you updated! This is one of my favorite WIPs and I can't wait for more, especially when you finally get to some JAM. :)
