This was so excellent; it's interesting to see Jim go to Pam when things get hard -- like, how in the first one, he's more reluctant to say anything, but by the third one, he's volunteering everyting to her, and man, I love how she's just honest about it and really, it makes sense, I totally think Karen is more into Jim than he is into her and I feel bad for her, but it will be her death knell.  The ending was so subtle and sweet, too.

Wow.  I just caught up to this and it's like The Office on crack.  I have to admit, though, I totally giggle every time Pam and Karen pull a kitchen prank on Jim.  And Pam & Jim's "scheduled" argument?  Nice.  This is quite funny and weird. 

Watch some of your grammar and wording, though, i.e., I don't know what you're thinking, Jim.  (It's you're, not your -- I noticed this a couple times throughout the story.)  Sometimes these little things can be distracting.  Other than that -- well -- keep up the crazy.  Hee.

I have to admit, this story made me laugh quite a bit, and I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that it's maybe a bit TOO relatable!  Hee.  I think anyone who's been married more than a year or two will completely relate to this.  It's nice to see the not-so-perfect side of Jim & Pam, too.

I thought the "shave the armpits" line was a little over the top, but not necessarily off the mark - I know my husband doesn't like to watch me do that.  I would have toned it down a little bit.  Nonetheless, I did laugh a lot while reading this!!

Hahahaha.  This story made me laugh so much.  This was so good.  That song is totally annoying and would get stuck in your head.  And, it's a total Kelly song.  That was perfect.  I wish this would really happen.  Pam catching him staring at her!  AHHHHH.  So awesome.

Just wanted to make a side comment, I noticed in the beginning of the story, the line:  "...a woman who's smile just melted him."  That should be "whose," BTW.

I love the premise of this story and I think you've really captured the essence of the characters.  However, and I don't want to nitpick -- but I noticed a few little things that having a beta reader or a second pair of eyes would have fixed.  If it's something that you're interested in, I think you'd go from having a decent story to a great story.  I know there's plenty of us here and on TWOP that do it constantly.   If not, just ignore my comment ... 

I definitely love the idea you had here!! 

Also:  I think "your" taste in music is Jim's taste in music.  I made a little comment to myself, "Of course he'd listen to Neutral Milk Hotel, ha."  I wonder if Pam would, though?  We've really gotten no (canon) sight into what her tastes are.

i would LOVE a beta reader, since i'm just too damn impatient to proofread my own stories. i'm awful like that.

 

 

as for pam, it is hard to pinpoint what kind of music she'd like. i think she's too mature for pop (no offense to pop, it can be fun) but she's definitely not a rap or a punk girl. so i'd think she'd probably listen to the more gentle indie rock, just my opinion. an interesting question though!
