Oh MAN, I totally love this. This is gorgeous. The series of text that Jim sends to Pam is my favorite part. I just... oh, this is so lovely. :)

There's things about this that I like, and things about it that I like less.

I think my favorite line is "her ridiculously-placed coffee table," which is a really good way to describe an awkward piece of furniture. My coffee table is also in a really ridiculous place, so I empathize with Pam on this one. :)

Some of the things I like less-- there's several places in this story that you make pretty big grammatical errors. Some sentences don't have periods at the end, for instance, and the way you use quotation marks is incorrect. Stuff like that really takes me out of the story, and it's not hard to fix.

Also, Jim said "Pam" or "Beesly" or some variation of that pretty much every time he talked. Maybe you could vary that up a bit more?

All in all, a good first attempt. With a little more polishing, it could be even better.

Oh man, this made me bawl. I'm seriously in love with this story so hard. I listened to the last half of "Abbey Road" over and over while I read it, and just... damn. The way it flows, the brief scenes, it's... the whole thing is just incredible. I've got nothing else other than platitudes. So amazing.

I always feel a little guilty when I write something that I know has the potential to make people cry. Anyway it's funny that you mention listening to something over and over again while reading because I actually had a certain song playing on repeat for almost the whole time I was writing this. and the even weirder thing is that the song is kind of upbeat, though I guess the lyrics talk about longing sort of. I would've mentioned the song in my notes, but it doesn't really fit the story, so I didn't. But yeah, I just think it's cool that we were both listening to something on repeat. :)

HOORAY, Christmas fic!

I got the email notification that you'd uploaded a new story when I was at work this afternoon, and I spent all day bouncing around waiting to read it. Because seriously, you + Christmas fic + S2 = so much love.

I love this, I really do. Your Jim voice is always right on. I think one of your biggest strengths is your ability to write Jim/Pam dialogue that sounds exactly like it should.

This breaks my heart, and makes me so happy, and it's hot, and it's beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

I\'m glad you like my Jim. He\'s normally a little more difficult to write than Pam, but, in this case, the story was much easier to tell from his pov (and, believe me, I tried it from Pam\'s). Oh. OH wow. I love this a whole bunch. There's never been enough Toby!fic, and I feel like this is a really good representation of him. Usually Toby!fic turns out really optimistically, and even though this kind of had a happy ending, it was really gradual and understated, just like Toby.

Seriously, I just love it. Karen being snappy, Holly being dorky and inventing languages, and Toby just sort of absorbing it all and learning from it. And Holly naming her turtle after him, and it making Sasha laugh?

I think this is leaps and bounds improved compared to your last story! I liked the similarity between Jim and Pam's thoughts, and including Karen was a neat idea, too.

This is so sweet. I love that you haven't made Toby a total happy sap, but you have given him a degree of happiness with Sasha. She's really the only thing that we've ever seen make him happy (except for when he beat Michael at poker, I guess!).

Ok, question-- aren't the lyrics to the song, "Jack Frost nipping at your NOSE"? Or am I missing a joke or something?

And the lyrics are indeed \"nose\" but I made the title with reference to the phrase \"nipping at your heels\" for when something is bothering you, etc. Snow is definitely bothering me right now.

I'm not really a big fan of InternalMonologue!Jim, but the second half of this just killed me!! I laughed so hard at "Mule #4" that I almost peed. And I love that Dwight numbers his enemies, it's so great. And why is Phyllis even on that list? She's basically helpless.

I'm excited to see where this goes!
