I'm a student living in Seattle. For a while I was only reading and reviewing, (I'm pretty shy) but then I decided to go for it and begin posting - albeit very sporadically. I still feel that I've got a long way to go in terms of my writing, but as I'm busy with school I'm content to just read, review and beta for now.

That said, I love to rock climb, travel (Europe in particular), listen to old 60's music, read all of your stories here and watch The Office, How I Met Your Mother and Gilmore Girls.

Oh my god, I cannot resist leaving you a review, this story is too darn cute. Wow. This is so cute! I love 'Rissa, what an angel, just putting them in the bath when they open a 40lb bag of flower and start making SNOW ANGELS on the kitchen floor! lol! I was cracking up then, you've got a gift here. This is really good stuff!

Oh my god, that was so adorable. Cute! I'm realizing here, it's rather impossible to stop reading here, so I guess I'll just finish. Great job with this story, it's amazingly accurate. This totally reminds me of my best friend when I was younger, we'd known each other since we were one, his name was Andy. But not like Andy Bernard. Thank god! We didn't have the Jim and Pam thing, though, but we're still friends!

Ah well, I'll keep reading here, this is great!

'Fuck.' Seriously, "fuck" is how you end this wonderful chapter! With the pepperoni pizzas (which made me incredibly hungry! arg....). Wow, that was a great chapter, but the last line just made me start laughing so much because I wasn't expecting it. At. All. To. Quote. ish. Jim.

And really, Angela's first line just made me practically drop my computer. Hilarious! And I definitely thought at some point they would think to introduce Angela and Dwight to each other. Good thinking! I can't wait to read the next chapter and thanks so much for the prompt updates lately. It's great!

Okay, I have to admit this wasn't my favorite chapter. Weren't Pam and Jim, ahem, making out at high school prom??? I'm just not understanding this chapter as much, but I can't wait to see what comes next! And really, even if I didn't like the content so much this was very well written anyways, always perfect editing by whoever your beta is. Give them a cyber pat on the back for me will you? They're good!

Author's Response: Hey, PMH! Thanks for reviewing. Yeah, I know, it seemed like they were getting together in the last chapter, didn't it? That just means my cruel trickery worked... I was definitely going for a cliffhanger that left it open as to whether they would be a couple in the next chapter or if it was just some drunk kissing between two best friends with a lot of history. Remember, this chapter takes place 7 months after the prom one and they've gone off to separate colleges. But yeah, don't you just want to shove these two in a closet already? Re: the beta - I generally don't have one. Vampiric Blood was a great, great help with the last chapter. She made it light years better. But I'm a professional writer and I usually have editors hacking away at my work, so when I get the chance to write just what I want to, I usually fly solo on it. I ought to be less stubborn!!

Author's Response: Did I screw up somewhere? I thought it was clear that Jim decided he was not going to go with Karen. Yes, it would hurt to lose her, but... “…but,” continued Jim, “I can’t go. I just…I can’t.” It was too far. Not just too far from Scranton, but too far from…home. Home, in this case, mostly meaning Pam. And Pam waits to tell him about her job in NY because she doesn't want him to make his decision to go there because he feels like he has to look out for her. So she tells him after he's decided that he's not going to go to California. As she says to him, the decision had to be about him. Jim struggles here, for sure. There's no win win win situation. But no, he is not going to California. The one chapter I make no attempt to cryptically cliffhanger and it still comes across as mysterious....

Wow, this story has been incredible! I apologize for reading the entire thing and only just now leaving a first review - but this was so good! I think I actually like AU stories a lot more than ones following actual events in Jim and Pam's lives - as I find that they require so much more thought and dedication from the author to write and create brand new worlds for Jim and Pam to live in. This really has been my pleasure to read, heartbreaking at times, hilarious (courtesy of Angela and Dwight, lol) and just breathtaking at others.

Thank you so much for writing this, adding all of the fun links to see what you were imagining and all the playlists, too. I signed up for an account so I could make a playlist named 'Indie Rock & Keds' and I've been listening to your music while reading the story. The songs definitely do help trying to get in the 'zone' of reading the story and they certainly made my reading experience even more incredible than usual! Not my typical music choice, but I'm starting to like a lot of this stuff, I can totally picture your Jim listening to all of this!

Lastly, incredible job with your writing - it was always incredibly realistic, descriptive and accurate sounding (I've never been to Chicago - but if I go I'll use some of these places as a tour guide!). Just fantastic job!

Alright, I'll stopp blabbering now, but just know that I loved this story so much and I'll be reading your sequel(s)! And maybe buying myself a pair of awesome Keds...

how could people hate audrey?!? she was so sweet, adorable, basically just a loveable girl, which originally kind of scared me, because i wanted to just like pam, but in this story, i don't actually love pam as much. (wow, long sentence) audrey was just a great person for jim.

Author's Response: In terms of flashbacks, I'm not done with Audrey vs. Pam. You'll see exactly why Jim broke things off with Audrey. So in the next chapter, you'll get some closure with Audrey. I liked Audrey too, but the point of her in the story is to show that Jim wasn't pathetically pining over Pam for ten years. And Jim was definitely in love with Audrey, but not as much as he was still in love with Pam....you'll see what happens. Thanks for the review! And I'm glad you liked Audrey! I was afraid that people were going to hate her...

lol. nice job with the scar - think for a little jim/pam chapter you could turn up the notch on the romance a little and write about how pam loves jim's scar - you know it symbolizes how he's still with her... all that good stuff. just an idea. anyway, great chapter, i liked the part at reception, jim mentioning being around people who were good at and enjoyed their jobs for once! very well thought out, can't wait to read more!
