10 aww, now that i read this again, i don't think his speech was cheesy at all, i think he was just speaking from the bottom of his heart... a.k.a. romantic... and very well done! great job!
10 lol. nice job with the scar - think for a little jim/pam chapter you could turn up the notch on the romance a little and write about how pam loves jim's scar - you know it symbolizes how he's still with her... all that good stuff. just an idea. anyway, great chapter, i liked the part at reception, jim mentioning being around people who were good at and enjoyed their jobs for once! very well thought out, can't wait to read more!

10 Okay, I just started reading the reviews from other people, and I just want to say ditto to all of that. The yogurt lid was the most brilliant idea ever and I loved how Pam was amazed over the box, how Jim presented it to her and the letter. It is so hard to write letters that sound realistic (trust me, my Mistletoe story was really hard when it came to the inner monologue stuff - it's so hard to make things ring true!), and then walking up to him in the office. And that's just chapter two! Chapter one (which I was so frustrated at and needed to go read chapter two to try and find something happier, which definitely happened) was just heartbreaking. The anger that they were expressing to one another, either through verbal or nonverbal communication was just incredibly descriptive and really helped set the stage for the later parts of the story. Keep going! And I can't believe I forgot to say all of this before! THIS IS INCREDIBLE! (P.S. I'm so glad that you're trying out a brand new idea with this mix up of possibilities from the show. I always love reading authors fresh ideas or combinations of parts and when they can execute the story well - like you're certainly doing, no worries at all! - then it's just like drinking a delicious mango smoothie. Fantastic story and I'll be quite now so you can write some more!

10 OH MY GOD OH MY GOD! I literally just squealed some sort of non-verbal yet noise making sound. It was pathetic, however I was so excited. This is literally the best chapter of anything I've ever read. Let me tell you why:
a) NEW YORK CITY - 'nuff said
b) Jim and Pam - together, going to a Christmas party - that Karen will be at (makes no sense, but I love JAM sightings with Karen there
c) Pam's looking at wedding dresses
d) with Jim
e) and he's encouraging her to try them on
f) she's blushing
g) and he's going to propose
This is from a fantasy - it just has to be. Great idea! And I'll keep reading now that I've professed my love for this story.
