Began watching syndicated episodes of "The Office" last Spring and fell in love with the characters. Discovered MTT and became obsessed with them.

The stories I have found here have added so much richness and complexity to a cast of already amazing characters. I hope that my stories will do justice to such an amazing and talented community.

I utter the phrase "that's what she said" more frequently than the f-word. And that's a lot.

Hi, I've been lurking for several months but I had to create an account so I could leave you a review. I love this story so, SO much and I'm so excited to see what happens next. I'm so thrilled with the plot advancement in the last two chapters and I keep re-reading them because they are so wonderful! But now I really, really want to know what happens next! Please updates soon! I'm not above begging. :)

Author's Response: Thanks, TunaEveryNight! You have no idea how exciting it is for an author to read the words I created an account to leave a review... Thanks so very much. I'm a bit OBE right now but I definitely will be coming back to this story.

OMG, I'm so happy that you're updating this story! This is one of the first stories I ever read at this site and I was DYING to know what happens next! The party was so cute; I love how Pam feels nervous and a little awkward around Jim's family but she feels right at home with him and Ellie. I adore Jim's interaction with his daughter. SO sweet. I can't wait for more. Please don't make me wait a year! :)

Author's Response: It makes me so excited to know that after alll this time, you're still following and enjoying the story. Thank you so much, it means a lot. I'm already almost done with the next part :)

OMG, I was so happy to see this story updated. I remember reading this months ago and I was SO hooked. You write these characters so clearly and so realistically; your story was such a joy to read! I love the conflicting emotions about this new pregnancy and I love the way you wrapped this chapter. How's Pam's instinctive need to protect her child is what suddenly made everything so real for her. What a beautiful story. Can't wait for the epilogue.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for this nice little comment :) I'm a little (okay, a lot) stuck on an epilogue because I want to make sure it goes well with the rest of the story, but I definitely plan to write it.

Okay, I've been (obsessively) lurking on this site for several months now but I finally had to create an account so I could leave reviews for my favorite stories. Especially this one! I love so many things about this story. The original plotline, the seamless integration of canon storylines and the way you've managed to keep these two characters so in-characters in a AU setting. Nicely done! I selfishly hope this story still has a long way to go because I will really miss reading it once it's finished. Can't wait to see what's next.

Author's Response: Wow, I'm incredibly flattered that you came out of lurking to leave a review. Thanks so much! :) I'm sorry about the wait and unfortunately, I only have a few chapters left. :/ But I'm so glad that you've found the story in character within the AU. I hope you enjoy what's next!!

What a great chapter! I was wondering how the meeting between Pam and Jim's family would go. Meeting the parents is already awkward enough but then to throw in the whole family...oh, and then's there that whole "I'm carrying your son's baby which I conceived during a one night stand" thing. Nope, no pressure at all.

The scene at the end was just so sweet. At first, I was afraid that Jim would be upset that Pam was eavesdropping but it's so nice that she knows how he feels about her (and he knows that she knows) with very little drama. Those two have been through enough.

I'm sad this is coming to an end. I hope we get to see a little Jam/baby interaction.

Author's Response: Thanks so much!! Yes, I figured that meeting between family would be so weird since they did get pregnant from a one night stand, hence the whole family coming along to check it out. I'm so glad you liked the ending, I don't think Jim would be upset at Pam hearing how he felt and coming soon, we'll get the reverse of that. I figured the first 19 chapters were all about miscommunication and misunderstandings but now all the cards are being put on the table. I do promise that we'll get some baby action before this is all over and done with. Thanks so much again for the review, it means a lot!!

Oh, wow! I totally thought Jim was going to take the job and they would move to New York together. Guess that's what I get for making assumptions, huh?

I love how you included Pam's hesitancy to go to the hospital with her desire to wait for Jim's return.

Baby Jam always makes my heart melt and I'm so happy to see all three of them together and happy.

Can't wait for the epilogue!

Author's Response: You know, I thought about having Jim go to New York but then I felt like it would be too perfect, too wrapped up in a nice little bow, with Pam having the opportunity to do her art there as well. I really felt like Jim and Pam aren't so much New York people as well, and while they'll go adventure in big places, they'll always come home to Scranton (or somewhere like Scranton). Glad you enjoyed baby JAM--more in the epilogue. Thanks so much for the review, really appreciate it!! :)

Very interesting chapter! And not too long at all. There were so many twists and turns. I'm really interested to see what happens to Jim and Pam's relationship as it seems that more and more people are starting to wonder/find out about them. This is such a interesting premise that you have going on because in most situations (AU or otherwise) Pam and Jim are always struggling to overcome outside forces and get together. But in this story, they ARE together and are struggling against outside forces from the inside of their relationship. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Author's Response: Thank you, TunaEveryNight! When I was first throwing around ideas I knew I wanted to do a story where they would be together from close to the start and very little relationship angst. Just seemed like it would be less stress for me to write. Haha.

I'm really enjoying this story and this chapter was so sweet. The steam at the beginning was perfect. Very loving but still spicy. I love that Jim is so nervous to meet Pam's parents. Of course he wants to make a good impression...and I thought he handled the situation perfectly. This passage...“Check your clothes,” he said. “Everything on correctly? Shoes, underwear? Shit, your dad is going to hate me.” “Because your shirt is on inside out?” She asked with disbelief. “Because I just finished schtupping his little girl. Twice.”...made me laugh out loud. Can't wait to read what happens next. Even if it is messy.

Another great chapter! I love how you've handled the characters: Roy is a sweet, well-meaning but still rough around the edges guy who really does care for Pam; Jim hasn't quite learned to control his emotions around Pam; and Pam is already conflicted by the two men in her life but doesn't understand why. Love how this story is developing!

Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, I wanted to make the characters all sympathetic and approachable yet still caught in the mess they find themselves. Roy is a good guy just not the right one. Jim is still young and eager, who doesn't have a handle on himself yet. And Pam just doesn't have life figured out yet. Glad you're enjoying it!

Oh, wow! I really like this premise. I know Pam was at Dunder Mifflin for several years before Jim but I've never thought about what her time must have been like there without him. You've captured a sad, dull feeling that, having worked as a receptionist myself, I can totally relate to. I'm sure that pre-Jim, the office was a much more boring place to work.

I love the idea that Michael wrote a book about his life (and, of course, exaggerated all of the stories). I'm really interested to see where this goes and can't wait to read more.

P.S. LOVED that last line.

Author's Response: Thanks, Tuna! Glad you got the feeling of how empty her life felt before Jim was there. He really did add so much more to her life when he arrived. Glad that all came through. Yeah, last line was fun to put in there. :) Thanks again!!

Great chapter! I'm really enjoying this story. It's so interesting to hear Pam's version of events...particularly as she is reminiscing; she (and we the readers) knows everything that is going to unfold so she's able to give us a true account of her feelings. Even the feelings that she didn't recognize or want to acknowledge at the time. This story almost has a sad quality to it, as well...which is interesting. I almost feel like she's telling this story many, many years down the road and that maybe she's the only one left to tell the story. I'm not asking for any hints...just really intrigued to see where you take this. :)

Author's Response: So glad you're enjoying it! It's interesting that you find Pam. I'm not so sure she's sad, moreso feeling nastolgic and is also recounting a less than happy time for her. I will say that I don't kill off Jim, if that's what you're worried about. ;) Thanks for the review!

Wow! This story is amazing! So beautiful and poignant and heartbreaking. You did such a beautiful job of capturing the shifts in Pam's mood and I can almost feel her growing stronger and she prepares to tell him goodbye. Season 3 was so heart-wrenching...right up until the very last few moments...and you've mirrored that perfectly. Beautiful job.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! It was heart-wrenching, wasn't it. But it's all okay because we know how it ends. ;) I love seeing how strong Pam was in those last couple of episodes... she was ready to let him go, but it was going to break her heart no matter what she told herself. Ah, thank goodness for happy endings. I'm glad you liked it-- thanks for letting me know. :)

OMG, this was so adorable! I enjoyed every minute of this story. Your characterization of Cece was flawless! This last chapter was my favorite; I can imagine that adjusting to a new baby is really difficult (both for a big sister AND for her parents) and I love that you've captured both Cece and Pam's frustrations. You wrote Pam just how I would picture her. Overwhelmed and frustrated and trying so hard to be a good mom to BOTH of her girls. This story was such a treat to read and I greedily await the next story from you. P.S. I LOVE the name Maddy! It's actually on my personal list of potential baby names. This is so beautiful and sensual. The whole time I was reading this, I could feel the mugginess in the air. The emotions in this story are so heartbreaking. They're so close to the truth and so far away from it all at the same time. I like how in this story Karen is sort of secondary...she's there but she's not what's keeping them apart. This is a really great chapter. I like how you've shown Pam's desire to move on mixed with her fear of not being strong enough to do so. That seems very in character for her...especially since she has the added burden of living in a new town, working at a new job and having only made one friend. I love the call back to the Dundies. I could picture the whole thing so perfectly. Jim watching the car pull away...that sad, wistful smile on his face..."Tiny Dancer" playing in the background. Sigh. I love married/family JAM and I'm still really enjoying the show but those first few seasons...with all the love and angst and desire...there was just something magical about them. And you've managed to capture a bit of that in this chapter.

Author's Response: Wow! Thanks for the awesome review! I really tried to stay in character despite this being an AU. I think it's really easy to write Pam in character in the early seasons because she was so unsure of herself. And, the "Tiny Dancer" scene at the end of the Dundies is one of my most favorites, it's just so sad, yet hopeful at the same time.

OMG, I am so excited about this story! The economy is so bad right now and times are so hard for so many people...and this is SUCH a believable possibility for a salesmen at a failing mid-range company. I love how you've shown the bliss of their family life first. Now, we'll see how that perfection is affected by Jim's sudden job loss. I can't wait to see what you do with this story. In your capable hands, I know it will be wonderful.

Author's Response: Thanks so much Tuna!! Very happy to have you on board with this story! Yeah, I thought if Sabre was a real company, they'd be more than hurting from those printer fires, so I thought that would be a legitimate reason for the company to start sliding down hill, and Jim being their highest paid employee because he capped his commission so early, I thought he might be affected the most by it, and end up losing his job because how could they afford to pay him. I'm so excited that you liked this start of the story, and I'm looking forward to your thoughts on the update too! Thanks so much for such a lovely review! :)

Another beautiful chapter. I love how you showed the mounting tension throughout the weekend; how Jim's (previously positive) feeling of responsibility towards his family left him feeling panicked and like he had failed them while it left Pam feeling like a burden. These sorts of tension take a toll on the very best couples and you showed that really realistically. Also, I love the Cece is a little older in this story so that we can see the way these changes affect her as well. And how her awareness of the tension in the household adds to the stress of the situation. As soon as Pam refused the coffee, I knew she was expecting. And I'm really glad you added that. Way to up the amp even more! Now, I'm really curious to see Jim's reaction. Is he going to be elated, stressed, angry? You've definitely got me hooked. Can't wait for more.

Author's Response: Thanks Tuna! I had the most difficult time trying to draw out that tension just so, and I'm thrilled to hear that you thought it was good. I was going to hold off on the baby surprise for another chapter, but thought that it fit best with the way this chapter was heading. I know we don't get to see them argue much, but I feel like Jim isn't receptive to being pushed too much, so he could become a little annoyed by it with all of the added stresses they have going on. So happy that you're on board with this story and I'm so thankful for your lovely reviews! Thanks, and sorry for the delay in replying. :)

A beautiful chapter! I'm so happy that Jim's first reaction to the pregnancy was sheer joy and awe. These two have so much on their plates right now and so much to be stressed about but their love for each other and for their growing family just shines through. I love that that they were able to have a repeat of that morning's discussion yet they've already learned a better way to approach it. They've learned to cling to each other instead of fighting with each other out of frustration. Great transition with that. And this moment...“I’ll never forget,” he began, twisting his lips to the side as he sniffled. “The first time I ever said to myself, if I’m ever lucky enough to be in that guy’s shoes, if I’m ever lucky enough to be the guy you went home to every night, I swore I would never ever do anything to ever let you down. I promised myself that I would never disappoint you. I swore I’d be the exact opposite of Roy.”...just about broke my heart. I love this story so much. Seriously.

Author's Response: Thanks again, Tuna! I'm glad that their love for one another came through. It took me about four days to get this chapter just right and I almost deleted it and started over yesterday, but with some editing I managed to convince myself to go with what I had. I'm really happy to hear that it worked out better than I thought it did! The Roy part was something that sort of popped up in my head, and I'm so happy that you quoted it because it was a last minute addition that I was hoping wouldn't come across as too much. I like playing on their history but sometimes I worry that people won't think they'd remember some stuff from their past. It makes me so happy to know that it worked out! Thank you so much again and it's so nice to see that you're following and loving this story. I hope you like the way it continues to unfold! More on the way very soon. :)
