Bless you, xoxoxo, this is just what I needed too.

So many potent lines in this:

A week later he'd made sure he'd never have that excuse again.  Yup.  I believe it.  In fact, I can understand being that anxious.

...he knew that he'd done the one thing he'd sworn he'd never do. He'd taken it all for granted.  Gee, I know just how he feels (says the girl with a bottle of champagne STILL in the damned fridge!)

Now we just need to get a certain writing staff on board....

Author's Response:

I've got two bottles on ice Ms. Hoo.  Such a waste of good wine. LOL!

I don't know what the future holds - but I'm optimistic. :)

Summary: There's a bit the documentary crew didn't catch in the finale. (Spoilers for S4 Finale)

YES!  [/Pam -- followed by running across the room and jumping on Jim]

Rooftop of lurve and cheesy sandwiches and cheesy pizza is the perfect place.  I'm going to pretend this is the mystery flashback they are going to show us in the season premiere.

BTW -- that was a long 9 minutes.  You're lucky it was worth the wait.

Author's Response:

ha - kinda like how long the end of GT to the start of S5 feels, hmm?

And if the mystery flashback is anything like this, I'll send Greg a Thank You card.

Thanks for reviewing!!!!

Summary: Yep. Yet another post finale fic. Neat.

You win the Dundie for 'post finale fic I most want to become canon'.  I love it.  This is about the only thing that will make up for my disappointment from Thursday.

The bookending of Jim rushing towards New York from Scranton is something the writers would totally do.  And a cold open in September of Jim's hand with his wedding ring would be a nice callback to GWH.  And they could tell the story of the engagement in flashback.  (Heck, the cameras could tail Jim, why not?)

Author's Response: Oh thanks, I would happily take that Dundie. I will happily give up getting to see the proposal, as long as there is a ring on Pam\'s finger come September. \r\n\r\nI can totally see the cameras tailing Jim. I\'m crossing my fingers for a happy Jim and Pam come September.

Guh, how did I miss this?  Just lovely.

I hope Jim doesn't wait that long, but I can see how he might.  Hell, it took him three years to tell Pam how he felt, he probably feels a bit snakebit right about now...

Author's Response: thank you! personally, i think jim's problem is that he loves spectacle and fireworks - literally.  i think pam likes grand gestures too, but she also just loves him and wants to know where they stand.  sept 25 is too far away!

Summary: Yeah, we didn't get our proposal, and I was as upset as anyone else, but think about how bad it could've gone. Here are a few examples. These are meant to be as horrifying as possible, but hopefully in a fun way.

Cheese is good.  I don't know how I'm going to get through the summer, so I'm pretty sure Jim will be going out of his ever-lovin' mind.  Loved the detail that the velvet box is getting a little worn out -- heck, he's had it a freaking year!!

Yes, keep going -- but I think you have the title backward -- seems more like Jim is the one doing the waiting.

How pathetic that I have started to hate the summers because I want to see what Jim & Pam are doing!!

Author's Response: Haha, yeah that occurred to me after I posted. Obviously I\'ll just have to come up with a few more chapters where Pam gets to wait a little :D.\r\n\r\nBut I know what you mean. How awesome would it be if they did webisodes of Jim and Pam over the summer?

Ok, I can't say anything more than *melt*.   I'm enjoying their easy back & forth, and how Pam's voice and the sight of her makes Jim so happy.  They've both earned it.

Author's Response: Haha, that\'s all you really need to say, because that\'s pretty much what I was aiming for. Thanks for sticking with me - you\'re awesome for taking the time to read and tell me nice things :D.

Yay -- she'll marry him even though he proposed at a gas station.

Pam knowing exactly what she wants this time rings very true to me.  Guh.  Is it Thursday yet?  I miss Pam.

Author's Response: Hah - I know exactly what you mean. An episode without Pam makes me feel just a little empty :(. Thanks so much, lisahoo.

ITA, Kestrel -- most of the pet names sound completely wrong coming from Pam & Jim.  Love them fighting like an 'old married couple' already, and Jim's shoes being the size of the furniture.

Procrastinate away, dear.

Author's Response: Oh, lisahoo. It\'s so nice to know I\'ll always hear your thoughts on my little scribbles. And yes, it\'s always been so odd to me that such an affectionate, playful couple would be so completely unsuited for pet names. Thanks for sticking with me, love. :D.

YAY!  Kestrel is back!!

I don't suppose Pam will allow the cameras to follow her to the OB-GYN, huh?  I suppose we should be happy we got the ultrasound.

I hope S6 inspires more from you.  Nicely done!

Author's Response: It's lisahoo!! And who knows...all sorts of magical things can happen in the fanfic universe. Thanks for the review :).

Yummy.

testosteroney -- the real San Francisco treat [/Chandler]  (couldn't resist that)

But now? God, he was like . . . delicious sexy business guy. How much do I love when Pam objectifies Jim?  Lots.  Lucky girl.

And lucky us for this little froth of deliciousness inspired by an older photo and a good old-fashioned ass-kicking.  Nicely done, wendolf!

Author's Response: Ah, lisahoo. I love people who get me. That testosteroney thing? What I loved about Friends. (It\'s still no Office, but was funny in its own right.)And don\'t we all love to objectify Jim? Slice and dice apart his every desk lean and voice rumble and lip lick? Yes, it\'s one of the joys of my life. Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks so much for reading and reviewing. You rock.

Summary: This picks up post-"Job Fair" and follows through what I choose to believe happened after Toby's goodbye party.  :o) Hopefully it'll leave those of you who were disgruntled by the non-proposal in the finale...well, a little more gruntled.

Here he is without the feather: http://tinyurl.com/7rb7uu   Pretty damned charming if I do say so, myself.

I'm (obviously) thrilled to see you writing again!!

Author's Response:

Wow. That is fantastic. If I'd known you were planning to gift me with stuff like that I'd have written this chapter a long time ago. ;)

Really, though, I'm glad you reminded me about this story. I have a great outline still and a lot more time on my hands now that I've graduated so I'll do my best to keep updating frequently.

Thanks for the review!

Yay!  More updates!  Love the conversation about getting to do what you want.  Who knew Prince Halpert would essentially ask Pam 'do you want to be a receptionist here always?'.  Nicely done.

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked this chapter. It was a little bit slow and transitional (or at least that's how it felt as I was writing it) but definitely necessary for later.
