I don't often like to revisit these days of them being apart, but when it's done like this - so incredibly in character and sexy and wistful all at once, then how can you not be into it? Really, really plausible scenario for them kissing way back when. Loved it!

Ok, so that was perfect.
Everything from the quiet mood you created to the way you just subtly hinted at an elopement...her impractical silver shoes lying next to the bed, the cufflinks...This was really quite fabulous. You kept the trademark banter a staple of the piece, but it also managed to feel just so quiet and intimate.
Beautiful.
For something so short, this is tremendously full and rich. The way you describe the record store is so, so on target...and even though your Jim never says a word, he manages to be very well fleshed out.

I know that I am reviewing this story far too late in the evening to be anywhere near coherent...but I must tell you that I love this. The feelings the tone...everything is just so right.
There was a way that you described Jim's words...as if the kiss was still in his mouth?
"His voice was different, like their kiss was hiding in his mouth." -- ah that's it. See that there is GORGEOUS and poetic and one of the best things I've read on this site in awhile. Reading this made me want to write...and I think that is high praise.

From the very first chapter you've hit the right note with this...and the above is just an example of how strong I thought this finish was. Kudos to you AND your smart, funny betas. I felt like there was such an honesty in this piece...every emotional twitch felt right. And this last chapter was dead sexy.

Pam FTW! Oh I loved this -- a lot. You've built on some of the things we heard Jim say about his lovely messy, too loud TV watching, Pam last season. Thanks so much for a completely plausible elaboration on Pam's quirks.
The affection that Jim has for her in spite of and because of her little quirks, is so apparent here. Good work!

I must say that "re-inactment" of casino night was quite a treat! And I love how Pam decided to build Jim's um...confidence. Can't wait to see what happens next! Home sweet home!

This was really, really good for me. ;-) This is the way to do "explicit" my friend. With all that Jim and Pam are still present in every ounce of dialogue and every emotion. The "boing" thing...absolutely that would be part of their conversation. Here's to abstinence making the heart grow fonder! Truly enjoyable.

Really, really enjoyed this. What a picture you painted of young Itchy Sore. I wanted to kiss it and make it all better....but that Pam of course beat me to it. ;-) Very plausible backstory on Jim's patterns with those in authority. I loved it.

Gosh what GREAT Jim POV you've got going here. I especially adored the little details that were just obvious enough to paint a clear picture of where Pam's head has been since she's gotten back from Pratt...sort of in this limbo -- not living for her art, and sort of a "temp" at work too with the empty drawers. I think this was a very realistic aspect to take a closer look at...and Jim is perfectly Jim here. Glad to hear this one isn't finished yet.

Oh, a fresh new take on an old story. I like that. I've never heard this chapter told quite like this. Makes me want to see what that life would have looked like for them. You're so great at capturing the emotion of the moment, and you didn't disappoint here. Great story.
